Some have suggested that K will LEAVE his duties and be out of the picture after the 2016 games. Well as this article points out rather nicely, that is simply not true. The fraud will continue on as a "special adviser", and as the author points out rather bluntly, this will allow Coach F Bomber to "continue to leverage" his Olympic connection with high school recruits.

This guy is such a phony and always has been. Some have said he is now gonna devote all his time to dook RIGHT!!! He will NEVER give this leverage up, he is too small a person to do so.

Actually, I checked the TOS for this site and discovered there is NOT a requirement for anyone to read every thread posted. Now I know you will find that to be great news that you no longer have to worry about being required to read every thread posted here, now you can relax in knowing that you can pick and choose the threads that you want to read and not have to be bogged down in threads that others are interested in.

Now I understand, it was not your intent to suggest posters here could or should not post on topics that interest them, that is was more you thought you were required to read everything posted. So I am glad to be able to relieve you from that burden and heighten your enjoyment experience...

Secondly, this board has very few threads about duke or UK. Go to their boards and see how many UNC related threads they have.

I'm not sure how you can interpret my original post as being inflammatory or trolling, but whatever. As a UNC fan since 1968 I come here several times every day to try to keep up with the recruiting news as much as is possible on a free site. Look at the top of the home page. It says:

Just went through 13 years of 247 consensus rankings. Our recruiting only took off in 2014 and has continued with 2015, 2016, and most likely 2017. I suspect winning the 2015 title, some foresight with finding top recruits who wanted to play together, Coach K's embrace of OAD talent, and Jeff Capel have all had a bigger impact on our recruiting than Coach K doing a great job with the national team.

You are correct. I have never been to their sites. Never will either. Couldn't care less about them. Where does anybody say you can't post whatever you'd like? I sure didn't. I guess since my opinion differs from yours mine should be silenced. By all means post away about those programs since you seem to want to be exactly like those fans that you so readily criticize. Okay, I'll bite. You constantly make reference to the fact there's an unfair advantage. Maybe there is. I don't know because I'm not there. However, K works with the senior team. That team has professionals and not the high school kids.

So if working with Team USA was such an advantage, why was a guy like Donovan not able to take more advantage? Why wasn't a guy that was actually working with the high school kids getting the best recruits as a result? How does working with the pros help a recruiting battle other that that the pro said he liked working with K, which presumably is said about every coach the professional works with?

I guess, in the end, the question is how does a coach that does not work with the recruits gain an advantage over other coaches that do work with the recruits?

Frankly, I think it does give K an upper hand in some respects, but one he's earned through his success with Team USA. If he did an awful job, there would be no advantage. It's similar to the advantage you get when a HOF or Championship level coach is at the helm. Success brings an advantage. I think you'd look at it the same way if it was Roy coaching Team USA and having the same success.
