Yes , now Obama can take his place in history as the worst POTUS of all time. He took the dems from owning the WH and both houses to outside looking in on all 3.

I think the fact that the GOP will still have control of the senate is just as big of a story as Trump winning. I heard somewhere that it was the first time since the early 1900's that both houses and the white house were controlled by the GOP.

And that's another example of the polls being full of shit. No way Obama has an approval rating of over 50%. I doubt if he is over 40% at this point.
I really don't think Obama was THAT bad but I suppose it depends on what is the most important issues for each person.
I've been on both ends of the spectrum with him. I made the most money while he was in office and also my job is being eliminated because of the ACA but I don't blame him completely either. I have seen many flourish under his presidency but my wealthier friends and family certainly think he has taken from them somehow. I haven't seen a president ever do anything to touch the real reasons for our economic problems though and don't have much hope with Trump doing anything either but I will be optimistic and hope that he proves me wrong.....again.

When Obama took office, the national debt was about $9T (Bush had doubled the debt on his watch, due mainly to fighting two wars at once and financial system/auto industry bailouts...). Obama added more to the national debt than all previous presidents in US history COMBINED.
The debt will increase, exponentially, no matter who is in the White House and if the government stopped spending a penny. The Federal Reserve and fractional reserve banking forces the debt to increase, exponentially, for as long as the Fed controls the currency, monetary policy and the creation of money out of thin air.
So, you'd better prepare yourself for the Trump administration to see the debt grow... every second, of every day, of every week, etc. etc.. Unless you end the Fed, the debt will never, EVER go down. If he challenges the Fed, then the debt might change.
