This is priceless.

This is why journalism is dying. Granted, it's the Post, but what is so hard about simply reporting the story without editorializing?

I have no love for Al Sharpton, but that it's his daughter is irrelevant. And based on the material buried at the end of the article, it seems like these kinds of injuries and claims are relatively common. I'm sure she'll settle for an amount much less than the $5 million, just like any other Jane Doe.

Priceless? Meh.

$5 million does seem like she's asking for a bit much . . after all, its not like she broke her ankle and then spilt hot McDonald's coffee all over herself.

Frivolous lawsuits are a dime a dozen and in NYC you probably can get a 50% discount. The judge will probably tell her to be a little more careful where she places her foot next time and dismiss the case, imo.

You should probably read the back story on that McDonald's case, Billy. It has very little resemblance to the way it was portrayed by the media.

I should think the Judge would say to her that she was brought up in a family that loves to march for almost anything and if you are gonna march, walk or run, then be careful doing so.

Case dismissed . .

Heck, for 5 million dollars, I'd let Kathy Bates recreate that scene from Misery. Shoot, I could have sued Chapel Hill about a dozen times for turning my ankles on the uneven bricks out there. Of course, I wouldn't because that's ridiculous.
