Just because...

Providing you good folks with a place to vent about all the crap we have to deal with.

1. Being on hold (as I have been for 30 minutes now, prompting this thread). If I call a company to pay a bill, why should I have to wait an hour to give them a CC? They must not want this payment badly enough.

2. Construction Zones -- I get it. Politicians use this as a tool to say they created jobs. But damn, does my 13-mile commute every day REALLY have to take close to an hour b/c you've managed to clog traffic by "repairing" roads that didn't need it in the first place?

3. Holidays. They're fun and all, and I have no problems visiting family. But am I the only one feeling like every 2-3 weeks there's another holiday we're expected to buy gifts for? Spare me the Scrooge remark - again, love the actual holidays...hate the commercialization of them.

4. Double Standards / Hypocrisy. Honestly, there's not enough space for be to type here, so I'll spare you fine folks.

Maybe I'm just a bi-polar, Type A personality who just needs some meds. :)

People who throw bottles/packets out of their car windows after eating/drinking it.

Weird that was my immediate thought in terms of society gripes, but yeah.

dude...and target, wtf!?!?!

all wine not going to screw top

Used to work at a winery and they refused to go away from corks b/c apparently the wine won't age as well or something like that. FWIW

They considered it for the whites, but never for the reds.

People who try to order complicated customized orders at a restaurant, especially in a drive-thru. If you REALLY have to customize something, go in and do it where it's easier to explain things.

Oh gawwwd i know! Or separate orders! Wtf u people cant divide and subtract?

My company blocking pictures and YouTube videos on theses boards. On second thought, that might be a good thing considering what some of you post. ;)

Tuesdays -- IMO worse than Mondays. At least Monday, you get football 16 times per year and generally, I'm pretty well rested from the weekend. But Tuesday is just a complete drag...and you're still realizing there are 3 more work days before the weekend.

Old ladies on the golf course on Saturday mornings!
Taking vacation or attending a conference and coming back to staff bitching and moaning about you being out.
Sitting in a doctor's waiting room an hour or more past your appointment time.
Kids getting assigned 3-4 hours homework on a nightly basis.
Receiving cold calls on your cell phone.

Rain.

According to NOAA, we are on our 15th consecutive day of measurable rainfall here in Virginia. I understand the depressive state many in the upper northwest get to experience. This is brutal.

I'm sick of it myself. When we usually get a week's worth of rain, then 2-3 weeks later there is an explosion of mosquitoes. I'm not looking forward to a summer full of those bastards . .

Presidential elections
It's better than presidential erections.

Had to run a few errands at lunch today, which means I have some additions to this list.

a) The idiot who took 37 items into the self-checkout line at Target, scanned every one of them as deliberately as possible, then paid entirely in singles. Not kidding, it probably took her a full minute to feed them into the bill acceptor one by one.

b) The woman in the Wendy's drive-through who took two minutes to place a single order for herself. I had the displeasure of being behind her and heard her change her mind twice, but only after she had made the first two indecisions special orders.

c) Drivers who swing corners so wide they end up crossing into the oncoming lane and almost cause a head-on collision. This generally happens due to one of three factors, or a combination of them: 1) they're driving too fast, 2) they're not paying attention (cell phone), or 3) they are completely incapable of imagining a world where there just might be somebody else on the road besides them.

d) Drivers in my parking garage at work who park an oversized vehicle in one of the compact spots, thus blocking ingress/egress for all the sick patients who already have enough to deal with. I can only assume these people are either illiterates or inconsiderate a-holes. Today it was a Moo U fan with an extended cab pickup, so I'm going to assume both.

I just tried to strangle A and B through the computer screen.... no such luck unfortunately.
