Three for the week...

We shoot 40% from downtown we beat the BRAKES of people!!!

I agree, I think my scenario is more likely. We probably haven't shot 40% from downtown more than 2-3 times all year. So many close games are determined at the FT line, especially in the NCAAT where the pressure is amped up.

1. defensive glass
2. 40% from 3
3. finish strong inside

Let's win three.

Agreed gary-7, I'd even go with:
rebounding both ends, limit 2d chances
35% from the arc
put it in the paint and finish strong inside

Of the six losses we have, looks like a couple were mostly due to poor defensive rebounding, a couple to poor FT shooting, and a couple due to our inability to make treys. So those are definitely keys to our success.

I would also add hustle plays, just beating the opposing team to loose balls. Extra possessions are critical in close games. Seems like the opposing team scores 2/3's of the time when they get second chance opportunities, probably because your defense is often not set. So limiting second chances by limiting offensive boards and beating them to loose balls, is very key.

Play D and Rebound and this team wins it all.....Bottom line....They can score with anybody....Play D and Rebound and they cut down all the nets...Go Heels and lets kick NDs azz....
