Tilmon

He likely committed their due to proximity, not the coach. Think we would have heard something by now if he was reopening his recruitment.

I assume he signed his LOI, don't know for fact, but if he did the school would have to release him from it and that could be sticky. Would love to see us get another shot at him, would maybe be an even better get than Knox would be because he fits area of need stronger.

Why not give it a shot. Roy would only pursue it after the kid himself opened it up, but if this happens....Go Get "em Roy!

There's probably zero chance we get back involved. Not because Roy doesn't want to, but because Tilmon signed a LOI back in the fall signing period (which was incredibily stupid, honestly). I don't think the University will be willing to grant him a release from that.

He considered himself one of those "hometown hero" recruits, similar to Dozier. If he does decommit, I really don't think he's leaving the state of Illinois. JMO.

The fact that the U can fire the coach that the kid committed to and still hold the kid to his commitment is unbelievable! They can try to spout that he chose the U crap, but everyone knows it is the coach that made the parents comfortable enough to send their child and the kid excited about the school. If they fire the coach I think all recruits should have the option to opt out of the LOI. AND all kids on the team (that coach recruited) should have the option of a transfer without sitting out!

Not UNC type of recruit. Don't get your hopes up. Manley and Huffman folks...that's it.

I doubt he even wants to leave. Dude committed without even taking any OV. It was pretty clear he wanted to play hometown hero, so maybe he can save that dumpster fire that is Illinois.

Just idle speculation on my part. I'm happy with what we have even though I expect to get more!
