Does anyone find the timing of the NOA arrival strange? I know that AJ has impeccable sources and we’ve all thought that the NCAA would wait until after the SACS findings, 3 weeks ahead of this announcement. Instead the NOA came before Memorial Day and if you follow what Chansky has stated, “no problems with football or basketball”. This leads me to hypothesis that the NCAA knows that SACS will not invalidate classes and find that Carolina has taken corrective actions.

So why the early release of the NOA, my thoughts are charges are against specific individuals, several of the programs. I’m still having trouble grasping the idea that the NCAA could make a LOIC out of this. Could media pressure be influencing the NCAA? I think the answer is YES. I think the NCAA needs to look independent and strong waiting on SACS would give the impression of weak and dependent. Like the rest waiting on the release. Interested in your thoughts or impressions.
