is the first year HC at Fairleigh Dickinson. His team entered the NCAA tournament with 20 wins. That number is not impressive, but what is very impressive is that the 2021-2022 FDU team totaled 4 wins. In his first year at the school, Anderson increased the program by 16 wins. And his under-sized team is clearly playing against Purdue with no fear and with a whole lot of team-based grit and smarts. Anderson has used his bench well, keeping players rested to remain fresh, and he knows how to use time outs to change the course of things to his advantage.

Perhaps Anderson could be hired as Associate HC to Davis and teach Davis what he knows.

I'm just waiting for him to blame Mack Brown's wife.
Yeah .. his chit's getting older than me and that's saying something. Maybe since he's such an expert he should apply for the position. Constructive opinions and criticism are one thing. Constant dissing and berating over the same ish over and over = ignore and I'm there.

He must have known something when he said he believed they could win the game. Sucks too now that helps dook even more.

Makes me sick to think bout the dookies ... shytface ... poster child of college basketball the next 30 yrs
Eh, I think they just got a friendly draw and got help with Purdue losing. Somewhat similar to us last year.

There’s also an incredible trend.

And Purdue and Marquette were both in Duke’s bracket. Lol.

I want Duke to lose as much as anyone. They could make the final four but I don’t think Purdue losing was a devastating advantage for Duke. It’s not like the whole region has collapsed like Alabamas sort of has.

I’m dukes region (them being 5) - the 2 3 4 6 7 and 8/9 are still alive

Yes. In addition, this was the only Purdue game I watched all year, so take with a grain of salt, but.... Did they have anyone other than Edey? They looked pretty normal.

Look at there schedule - big wins in November. Some ehhh losses in conference and a lot of games they only won by 4-5 points. They were a pretty weak 1 seed IMO.

I'm just waiting for him to blame Mack Brown's wife. Woad has told us she's the downfall of the football program. I'm sure she is somehow hurting the basketball program as well.
I have said that Sally is beloved by the UNC and Chapel Hill society leaders, which was a big factor in the pursing of over the hill Mack. Even Art Chansky loves her.

Inability to comprehend even simple things seems to be the defining hallmark of the age.

They have no other 'star.' They are a pure blue collar team. Most nights, they would shoot well enough outside to open the lane for Eden. FDU got in their heads and never let up. They had a killer instinct. And they were well coached enough within their system too never waver from what kept them in the game and allowed them to have small leads.

Even BT teams would be intimidated by Eden. But not FDU, a team with 3 of its top 7 players in minutes who played D2 last year. Good coaching makes that possible.

I appreciate well coached teams. FDU showed that in the brightest neon.

tenn lost their best player so the dominoes are falling
This is the weakest region 1 to 4 that I have ever seen. Maybe K State or Kentucky will have a puncher’s chance v Duke in the elite 8 if one can make it.

Thank God I was wrong. Admittedly I'm not really invested much in this year's tournament (although it's been awesome). But it's just refreshing not having Duke be a threat this season. Low key what made the 2009-10 season more frustrating for me was Duke winning it all.

Misery loves company!!!

Tobin Anderson hired to replace Rick Piton at Iona. That's not much of a step up, but Pitino has left Iona in good shape.
