Together book (2021-2022 )

While on Amazon tonight I noticed this new hardback book titled “Together” which has Coach Davis on the front and is suppose to detail Carolina’s season last year. I ordered it thru Amazon and it is a little pricey but I am sure it will be way worth it especially if it gives insights of the coaches and player’s thoughts and feelings knowing that they had to beat Duke in Coach k’s final game at Cameron just to make it into the big dance…

I would be interested to hear from anyone who has already read the book 📚 or has any knowledge of what it covers…I am suppose to get it on Wednesday and I will pass on my thoughts of the book later in the evening…

I heard it was coming out last November and asked my wife to get it for me. She wrapped it as a Christmas present to me. I already burned through reading it (for the first time).

It is top notch A++ in my opinion. Such wonderful inside stories about Hubert and a separate chapter on each of the Iron Five and how they grew and got to be what / where they were at their magical run end of last basketball season. Adam Lucas is a master writer and storyteller of all things about The Carolina Family and Program.

They have great recaps of most significant games inlaid throughout the book, and the photojournalism is outstanding too.

I suppose some insiders here much closer to the program have much of this info from the inside, regarding conversations with players, among coaches, etc. but the interviews with Hubert and the players etc is just something you'd never pick up from watching or reading about the games.

I highly recommend the book. It is much like the past books Lucas et al did on the three recent NCAA title run seasons.

I enjoyed it. I had pre ordered it. I think they could have put a better picture on the book cover. Great reflection of a memorable season. I still need therapy over our second half collapse in the title game.

Agree with all this. Maybe a pic of them after they won on Sat to get to the championship game...or one of them stunning ALL THE DORKS in HIS for the Rat's last home game, etc.

Thanks for the heads up! This book will join my others on the Tar Heel shelf (shrine?) in my family room! I will need to get it signed at some point to match the Dean, Roy, and MJ (Rare Air) sigs!
