All previous arguments I have made against this, please accept my humble apology. I was wrong.

I did not want this to get lost in the shuffle with the other thread.

Thank you, Dear Lord, for not allowing (my) Dook of the NFL to win the title.

Everybody knows Brady was taken in the 6th round 199 th overall pick, meaning every team passed on him 4-6 times, maybe more depending on the # of draft picks they had.
Here are six names that will go down in sports infamy.

Chad Pennington-Jets 1st round 48th overall
Giovanni Carmazzi-49ers 3rd rd. 65th (who?)
Chris Redman- Ravens 3rd rd. 75th
Tee Martin-Steelers 5th rd 163rd
Marc Bulger-Saints 6th rd. 168th
Spergon Wynn-Browns 6th rd 183rd (who?)

These are the 6 QBs taken before Brady in the 2000 NFL Draft!

Im a Cowboys Fan, but I was pulling for New England. I wanted to see Brady win his fifth. It was an awesome game. Atlanta took their foot off the gas and Brady took advantage. No question, Brady is the GOAT, Belichick to me is the GOAT to.

do you think they took their foot off or simply got too cute and kept throwing it for 1st downs?

doesn't take away from what the patriots had to do to win it, but imo, atlanta runs it on 2nd and 3rd late, kick the fg, they win.

I don't think they let their foot off the gas at all. I think they outsmarted themselves, for sure. As the MVP (hahaha...sorry) of the NFL, Matt Ryan has to have enough "power" to audible out of that 3rd-and-1 pass play. I understand the coach calling it and trying to not play conservative, but Peyton Manning, Tom Brady...they would have audibled out of that and gone with what they knew.
Welcome back to Earth, Matt.

stupid play calling is all part of the game. See last season 8-5 effort by UNC football...

The thing that sold me on Brady is just the poise. It's amazing. Down 28-3 nearing the 4th quarter...you felt like they still expected to win. That's extremely rare...I don't even think Aaron Rogers, or some of the other greats of the game hold their composure in that situation.

that's what saying...those two calls made no sense.

and it close to home here...well played.

I'm not a fossil (yet) but I've been lucky enough to see many of the best to ever play the position in their prime: Brady, Manning, Marino, Elway, Montana, Favre, Young, Starbach. It's almost impossible to argue against Brady as the GOAT. No matter who else has been on the roster, he has led that team to unbelievable consistency (division finishes, playoff appearances, etc.) and success (Super Bowl wins). I consider myself lucky to have witnesses that game. It's the kind of comeback that will be talked about by future generations.
