Coming into this season we all assumed that JJ would take a few steps, that Brice would at least hold his own and maybe Berry would be able to successfully relieve Marcus in order to free him up to score. But what we have seen so far gives us so much more to look forward to possible
What we have seen so far suggest leaders we never saw coming. Pinson has emerged as that quintessential glue/intangible guy that every championship team must have. You know the guy, the one who can play like crap all game and then hit a must have three with a minute left. Meeks has shown a passion and a leadership at times that is a nice surprise. But most importantly, we saw a toughness that was led by underclassmen, Pinson, Jackson and Berry that pulled us through a tough, road win by making plays that they would have flubbed this time last year.
If MP comes back tomorrow night and is even 90% of what he was last year, then we become a very, very nasty team. I can only dream that Jackson continues to stake out the alpha male territory that he has already claimed this season and doesn't willingly hand it over the Marcus Paige. There is plenty of room for both
Go Heels!!!
