Top 25

Well that's an improvement over last when it was just GaTech, FSU, Clemson.

But the acc needs to put up or shutup.

In 2015 dook lost to northwestern, unc lost to scar, vatech lost to ECU, louisville lost to auburn, miami lost to cincy, syracuse lost to USF. FSU lost to Houston in the bowl. Dook and Pittsburgh made an appearance in the top 25 at some point, but dook definitely didn't deserve it.

Aside from clemson and fsu, the acc stank last yr. We pretty much did nothing OOC. And we had a losing record in bowls.

Clemson...

Clemson will have a great offense, one of the best in the country. And their DL will be very good. They lost a lot in the D secondary and their star corner has blown out a knee, so a great passing team might take some advantage. Still, maybe the team to beat in the ACC.

Louisville...

Lamar Jackson will be a game changing quarterback. This kid will be a star. 17 returning starters. The Cards will win games and be a tough out, especially at home.

FSU...

The Noles are a QB away from being a contender. If the new kids can play QB, FSU will play well. And I think that Francois will start. One of the better secondaries in the south, good DL, good running game.

If they play MaGuire at QB out of loyalty (the kid played three quarters in the bowl throwing off of a broken ankle and missed spring recovering from surgery), it won't be but for a loss against Ole Miss. The youngsters behind him are just better.

Miami....

Richt will ease into the season with first games against FAMU, FAU, and Appalachian State...if he has Kaaya hitting the receivers, the Canes will win some games. They return the O line and RB's. The defense remains to be seen since it will be completely retooled.

And, of course, the Heels are looking good with Trubisky at QB and Hood running the ball with a mostly returning O line (except Landon T). If the defense steps up some, the Heels will contend for the ACC Championship

Agreed with this. The ACC has to stop losing OOC games. The league will never win respect until it starts regularly winning marquee OOC games.

Perhaps we need to go the SEC route, if you're not winnin', you're not cheatin'...
Seriously, I agree, the Heels will be good. We will need a few players to step up and fill some gaps.
We have some good footballers coming off our recruiting successes, hope the 2d year kids come ready to roll.
Will Richt awake the 'Canes? I'm not sold on FSU, just yet. Klemp's son will be very good

Opening games may well set the tone for the season IF the ACC wins.

UNC vs GA: Apparently GA is favored but not so sure why. We ought to win this if our offense is as good as last year and with a healthy D-line, should get enough stops.

Clemson vs Auburn: Clemson ought to win but this game is being played at Auburn. So we'll see.

FSU versus Ole Miss: Should be interesting. FSU is getting a lot of hype. Best case scenario is the ACC wins each of these games against SEC teams and helps us get some respect.

The alternative is if the ACC loses these games, it's going to be hard to argue against those disrespecting the conference which you know they will do. Each of these games, imho, are pretty important for the conference and specifically for the Heels. We need to win and do so impressively. By that, I don't mean we blow them out per se but that we look like a great team. If they are as well and we just come away with the win, that's all good. But we need to win and need to play well.

Georgia has to be the favorite based on our struggles topping the run the last 2 games and the talent they have at RB. You gotta figure the average fan is going to put his $ on UGa.

Well, if true, I hope the average fans lose their money! Go Heels!
