Anybody got any trips planned this summer they would like to share? I love to hear about traveling..

I'm playing Shinnecock, Baltusrol, Winged Foot and Merion the last week in June with various business contacts. Oakmont in July or August. Really pumped!!!

Haven't really planned our family trip this summer as we just got back from Maui for Spring Break. My daughter heading to college this year so we splurged a bit.

We'll probably just head to Wrightsville Beach for a week to visit family, etc.

How long will it take to get it back to N.C. ?

Planning some long weekend trips besides a few weekends that we have committed ourselves to for weddings.

May visit our daughter in West Virginia this summer, that's a state I've never been inside of . .

September beach week is almost always a given.

My annual trip to IOP of course, a late summer trip to Ft. Myers FL, and then a few long weekends - Boone Lake, TN, Oak Island, NC, and Philly for half work/half pleasure.

Got a busy summer-

Mexico for a wedding Memorial Day weekend
St Thomas for a week with the girls as we promised them they could have a honeymoon
Chicago for a week to see my brother and his family
Seabrook Island for a week for family reunion

Probably backpack a few weekends too.

We always go to the beach. My wife, two kids, and my brother and his wife and their two kids. This year we are going to Panama City, which is probably dumb but whatever.

Cancun for five days at the end of this month and then a European river cruise in October.

I'm headed home to NC for my 30th high school baseball state championship reunion and to see the family. We get together every 5 years. Hopefully will also be making a road trip to Montana.

Mushrooms or acid. Haven't decided yet.
Go with the shrooms. You'll thank me when you don't feel like mice are gnawing at the base of your skull at 3:00 AM.

Personally, I'm planning a trip to Julian's in Chapel Hill. Apparently I need some wardrobe updates.

Might just be the spring break crowd, but PCB has had some problems lately.
I think you would find Fort Walton Beach, Navarre, or Pensacola Beach more family "suitable".
Beaches are just as nice, little tamer crowd usually.

Yeah, we've been to a ton of different ones and my wife wanted to try out Panama City for some reason. It is already paid for so there is no going back now. May as well just make the best of it. It is still a beach and still has places to eat and we have a killer deck to have a few drinks on after the kids go to bed. So it can't be all that bad. :)

My wife and I took a trip to some place on the gulf that was really cool. It was just us and was kind of private and was the opposite of touristy. All the buildings and everything were really intimate and the setting was pretty great. You just walked everywhere. I can't remember what it was called. It was Seacrest or maybe close to Seacrest Beach or something. Pretty cool though.

I love Ocracoke Island If I was going to buy a second home (which I'm not) it would be on Ocracoke.

Panama City is fine after Spring Breakers are gone. The only other rough one is biker week. We go there at least once per year.

i can honestly say, i have been drunk for 12 straight days while here in kitty hawk...it's like tailgating every day for a noon game...by the time we go to dinner, i'm already on 7 or 8 beers.

then at dinner, like tonight, two more...we get back to the beach house and it's two glasses of wine, then i finish out the night with a beer or two with the dog on the deck listening to the waves crash.

^^ Gorgeous dog.

My parents have a 6-month-old English Creme Retriever (think golden retriever but solid white) and I'm bringing her to IOP later this month. Cannot wait to see how much she loves the beach. She already loves the lake and water in general. In the pool, she'll even completely submerge herself to try to get her frisbee when it sinks down from the surface. Never seen a dog do that.

She's got some hunting qualities in her, that my brother and I have been trying to tap in to. Bought her a hunting training duck from Cabela's and she'll leap off an 8-foot ledge into water, if she has to, to get that thing. Gotta love dogs.
