Me too. I rarely watch the NFL these days but I did watch the Panthers beat the Pats. I hope Mitchell does well.
Right thing to do at this point. He was always a better QB option than Glennon, but I understand not throwing him out there right away. The one thing the Bears better do is protect him. To be fair, they did a crappy job of that for Glennon. However, Glennon is not a better athlete nor is he a better passer than Trubisky. And the turnovers Glennon had, just wow! At this point, you can lose with either guy. One who is a game manager but doing a terrible job at managing the game right now or another who is a rookie that might make some rookie mistakes. You might as well get your future started.
If they don't and he gets hurt then it could backfire. I read somewhere that the locker room in Chicago was behind Mitch and wanted the change. So maybe they will play harder for him?
I hope so. I really believe Mitch could be a big-time NFL quarterback.
