During a Wednesday afternoon press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a member of the Israeli press asked President Donald Trump about the sharp rise in anti-Semitic incidentsacross the United States and whether Trump’s administration is “playing with xenophobia and racist tones.”

Here’s Trump full answer:

Well, I just want to say that we are, you know, very honored by the victory that we had. 306 electoral college votes. We were not supposed to 220. [Addressing Netanyahu:] You know that, right? There was no way to 221, but then they said there’s no way to 270. An there’s tremendous enthusiasm out there.

I will say that we are going to have peace in this country. We are going to stop crime in this country. We are going to do everything within our power to stop long-simmering racism and every other thing that’s going on, because a lot of bad things have been taking place over a long period of time. I think one of the reasons I won the election is we have a very, very divided nation. Very divided. And hopefully I’ll be able to do something about that. It was something that was very important to me.

As far as people, Jewish people, so many friends, a daughter who happens to be here right now, a son-in-law, and three beautiful grandchildren. I think that you’re going to see a lot different United States of America over the next three, four, or eight years. I think a lot of good things are happening, and you’re going to see a lot of love. You’re going to see a lot of love. OK? Thank you.

I’m totally out of jokes.

What in the hell has that got to do with the question he was asked?

Nothing, I was just noting that I agreed with it. I sort of assumed the whole thing was a joke because he was asked a loaded question that implied that his administration condoned anti-semitism, when I haven't seen any evidence to support that.

How is he supposed to answer that question?
"No, we're not playing with xenophobia and racist tones" then people such as yourself say "there's ol' Trump lying about his xenophobia again"
or...
"Yes, actually we're all racist bastards" then people such as yourself say "see! I told you!"

We're well beyond the point of it being respectable to defend this buffoon.

It was not a loaded question. The question could have been answered with a simple yes or no.

Come on man. I know you hate him, but you are just trying to make an issue out of nothing with this. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to criticize him about. This is just you not being able to see beyond your disdain for the man

Quality answer to a stupid question. And yes, he won largely bc of the racist Marxist that he followed. It was a lay up.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha you think Obama is/was a Marxist? lololololololololololol

And your response to his yes or no would have been what I described in the quoted poast.
Are you really trying to defend his response to the question that was asked? Trump has done one thing since taking office. He has united almost the entire world, Muslim, Jews, Hindu, everybody in the world is laughing at us. China, Russia, We are the most powerful country in the world and this buffon has made us a laughing stock to everybody from people living in mud huts in Africa to the royal families of Europe.

Not at all, I' m content to let his response stand on its own and you be the judge

Coming from you, I'll take it!! 304
I love how you openly embrace and admit your own ignorance. You even said something like "No one or nothing will ever change my mind."

That is profoundly dumb as shit. Willfully dumb as shit. A statement like "Nothing can ever change my mind" is akin to intellectual suicide. To completely put a wall around your mind is what I would consider Hell.

All responses are based on the source of the accusation. My own "ignorance" is your simple opinion, and you're welcome to it.

And yes, on certain beliefs, no one or nothing will ever change my mind - that is a fact. For example, there is one true God and only one way to spend eternity in Heaven, through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that, would die for it and no one will ever change my mind. Thanks for you concern!

It is willful ignorance. When you purposely deny yourself understanding, or knowledge, that is willful ignorance. That's your choice, of course.

he doesn't know what those words mean or the context in which to use them.

Trump loves the Jews. I saw "The Art Of The Deal" where Johnny Depp played Trump... he loves the Jews.

You're running out of straws to grasp.

You don't seem to have a problem with Trump being buddies with REAL Marxists.

There are things that I don't like about the last several presidents. I've had bosses that I didn't care for but they got the job done. I'm going to see how Trump does before I bash him. He's been in office less than a month. We put up with Obama for 8 miserable years.

I think trump will do good for US business interests which in turn will do good for the economy. Im not impressed with his cabinet choices but those have always been figurehead titles anyway given to friends and donors. His foriegn policy really worries me though

I sincerely wish Trump was more articulate and less egotistical.

I agree.

He's as articulate as he will ever be I'm afraid. His ego, however, has plenty of room still to grow . . and it likely will.

I agree.

My main issue with Trump is his behavior. .

I agree. I think he could still send a middle finger to the establishment elites and all the haters but in a more clever and subtle way that doesn't make him look like a crybaby. Or better yet, he could just not respond to them at all - which would really piss them off. But he can't help himself. When he's winning, he's one of those guys that has to constantly remind everyone that he's winning. I don't care for that.

That and he doesn't seem to think his policy decisions through. Shoot first and ask questions later. Doesn't bode well at all.

I disagree here. He and his team have thought about these for a while. Just because he's quick to act doesn't mean he hasn't thought them through. He definitely moves at the speed of a businessman and not a politician. Personally, I like it. Even if he makes a bad decision, he makes decisions. I can appreciate that. The roads of the world are littered with indecisive squirrel carcases.

I think trump will do good for US business interests which in turn will do good for the economy. Im not impressed with his cabinet choices but those have always been figurehead titles anyway given to friends and donors. His foreign policy really worries me though

I agree on all of this. The whole reason I supported Trump and could excuse his lack of experience was because I thought he would surround himself with very knowledgeable people. I'm still waiting on that.

There are things that I don't like about the last several presidents. I've had bosses that I didn't care for but they got the job done. I'm going to see how Trump does before I bash him. He's been in office less than a month. We put up with Obama for 8 miserable years.

I also agree with all of this. I don't have to like Trump as a person. But if he pushes policies I support, then I'm good.

Lastly, in regards to the OP, Trump gave a terrible answer to a stupid question. I hope he'll season as time goes on if for no other reason than to eliminate ammunition for all the liberals that hate him.
