i agree, but I’m not at practice or see what’s going on. But from the outside, definitely.
He struggles defensively against teams who are not The Citadel. If he's going to play, he has to make shots. He missed every wide open shot he took today. Hubert was right not to play him in the 2nd half.
You need to remember, there is a reason he wasn't ranked in the top 75 by most recruiting services. He played really weak competition in high school. He may end up being a very good college player in time. But you shouldn't put big expectations on him as a freshman. There is a huge difference between playing small rural Virginia high schools and NCAA tournament teams.
Tyler reminds me of Manek, neither one came out of high school highly rated, but their work ethics resemble one another. Suspect Nickels to develop at the pace with Manek did at Oklahoma. Probably will be thrilled with his play by his junior year.
