another positive is that a player who isn't interested in being a student leaves school instead of cheating.

If he is ineligible by school standards than he can't be in school. No choice in the matter. Like what happen with Quise, Hope the young man can work his way back.

what i mean is he didn't cheat to stay eligible. if you don't want to be a student and you don't do the work that's unfortunate but getting someone else to do the work or sham classes, etc is what brought carolina sports to its knees.

And that is a good point.

If he doesn't work his way back into UNC, hopefully he does better academically at another school.
 
I saw tweet last night that suggested he had enrolled at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. Same school where DT Greg Webb landed before later signing on with Rutgers.
