I threw some $1 and $2 fliers out there on some long shots. Figured if a non top 10 golfer was going to win a major this year - the US Open would be it.
Oosthuizen $2 to win $91
Molinari $1 to win $66
Byeong-Hun An $2 to win $151
Stricker $1 to win $80
Jimmy Walker $2 to win $181
Most likely I'll lose $8, but if any of those 5 hit it'll be a nice win. Have some actual wagers on Oosthuizen (over Kuchar) and An (over Cabrera-Bello) for overall finish.

Haven't had time to pay much attention to golf. That being said, I read that Phil was up to his usual attention whoring tricks.
The golfers apparently whined enough that they had the rough mowed down. Don't think the British Open has ever done that, have they ?
British Open doesn't have rough like US. Impossible to grow that grass thick like it is over here.

USGA said golfers were not complaining. They mowed it because they expected heavy rain and wind and it would be badly matted if that happened.
They absolutely have been complaining. Players have been putting videos all over social media bemoaning the rough. And it is significant. But the fairways are 50-60 yards wide. So really, the rough shouldn't be coming into play for the best golfers in the world. They should be able to find these fairways.
Yea Rory said in an interview yesterday that (paraphrasing): "You should absolutely be punished if you can't hit these fairways.".
Conditions were perfect Saturday and everyone had a field day Thomas was on fire.... please though ditch the pink pants.
