Uber vs. Lyft

I have always used Uber- is there any reason to try Lyft? Seems to me to be a redundant service.

I've used both. Depending on the time of day one can be cheaper than the other since they don't have set rates. Lyft shows you the color of the car you are looking for as well. That can come in handy if you are afraid of stopping a random person driving the same car you are looking for instead of your ride, which I have done before. Also, Lyft gives you the option to tip the driver.
