No surprise to me. I have always said that UConn football is a drain above 1AA level. And UConn hoops clearly needs the BE.
The move means that the AAC must add 1 football to have 12. My guess is that Army gets the invite, to pair with Navy.
The ACC may stick with 11 for basketball, unless they want somebody like a Loyola of Chicago to get into a huge TV market.
