• Carolina lost for the second game in a row for the first time this season.
• Carolina is 6-4 in the CBS Sports Classic.
• Carolina entered the game averaging 10.1 turnovers per game. The Tar Heels committed 17 turnovers, their most since committing 18 against Alabama in November 2022.
• RJ Davis led Carolina with 27 points. Davis has led Carolina in scoring in each of the last six games, becoming the first player to lead Carolina in scoring in six consecutive games since Justin Jackson in 2016-17.
• Davis made his first eight free throws, which extended his streak to 41 in a row, which tied the all-time UNC record (he missed his ninth attempt which ended the streak at 41). Jeff Lebo made 41 in a row in 1989.

• Davis also made 39 in row from late in the 2021-22 season to early the following season. He has two of the five longest streaks in Carolina history.
• Davis has scored 26 or more points in each of the last five games. He is the first Tar Heel to score 26 or more points in at least five straight games since 1970, when Charlie Scott did so in 12 straight games.
• Davis is the fourth player in Carolina history to have 26 or more points in five or more consecutive games. He joins Scott, Bobby Lewis (last game of the 1964-65 season, first six games in 1965-66), and Lennie Rosenbluth (last seven games in 1955-56, first three games in 1956-57).
• Davis has scored 160 points in the past six games, which is the most by a Tar Heel in a six-game stretch since Tyler Hansbrough had 25, 29, 32, 23, 23, 39 for 171 total in February 2008.
• Davis scored 20 or more points for the sixth straight game, becoming the first Tar Heel to score 20 or more points in six straight games since Garrison Brooks scored over 20 points in seven straight games in 2019-20.

• Davis led UNC in rebounds with seven, the third time in his career he led Carolina in rebounds.
• Davis also led UNC in assists with four, the fourth time he has led UNC in assists this season and 46th time his career.
• Davis is the first Tar Heel to lead the team in points, rebounds and assists since Armando Bacot last season in the home win over Boston College.
• Davis passed Tyler Zeller (1,501) and Scott Williams (1,508) for 31st in UNC all-time scoring with 1,520 points.
• Cormac Ryan scored a season best 20 points. It was his seventh career 20-point game.

• Ryan made a season-high four three-pointers. It was the 19th time in his career he made four or more.
• Harrison Ingram scored 10 points. He is the only Tar Heel to score in double figures in all 10 games this season.
• Kentucky’s bench outscored Carolina’s, 36-14, the most UNC’s bench has been outscored since Florida State outscored UNC’s bench, 35-8, on 2/27/23.
• Jae’Lyn Withers came off the bench to play nearly 19 minutes and was plus 13. He had four points, three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals.
• Carolina shot 53.8% from the floor in the second half. It was the fifth time in 10 games this season the Tar Heels shot at least 50% in the second half.

UNC-Kentucky
• Carolina dropped to 25-18 all-time against Kentucky, including a 1-4 record against the Wildcats in the CBS Sports Classic.
• UNC is 2-1 against Kentucky in Atlanta and 13-8 against the Wildcats at all neutral sites.
