UK vs KU...

Don't really care who wins, but I am looking forward to the game. Should be a good one. Two of the best backcourts in the country and serious skill on both sides.

I think Kentucky squeaks it out. Kansas is really thin on bigs now that Carlton Bragg Jr. is suspended.

Kentucky wins. Kansas lacks depth and plays in s mediocre league without any teams that match their athleticism. Needless to say UK will give them fits in my opinion.

UK will win and I think I want them to. I don't know. I keep going over different scenarios to decide #1 seeds.

Uk will win by 12+ and it won't be that close. Bragg is suspended too. Kansas is lacking post depth and turmoil is all around the program right now.

I think Ky wins this one, worst case Ky back court is a match of Ks back court and I think they are more potent than the Kansas duo. Front court should be a mismatch strong favoring Ky, Kansas is more experienced.

Game is at Rupp, Ky has strong advantage at home, I think it is Ky by about 15, if Monk gets off it could get real ugly.

If Monk goes off on Kansas like he did against our heels,it won't be close.

Kansas distracted by police investigation ahead of Kentucky game, Bill Self says

Kansas
coach Bill Self said Thursday that a police investigation of an alleged sexual attack at a dorm where some of his players live has become a distraction for the second-ranked Jayhawks ahead of their weekend showdown against Kentucky.

Self also said the investigation has given him no reason yet to discipline any of his players. Kansas visits the fourth-ranked Wildcats on Saturday (ESPN, 6:15 p.m. ET).

"It's certainly been a distraction in the last 24 hours and I'm sure it will continue to be that way until more information is given to us," Self said during an interview on ESPNU's Katz Korner, adding that players were interviewed a while ago.

"I've been given zero information that would warrant us doing anything at this point in time, to suspend or whatnot," he said. "We'll have to wait and see how it plays out [with authorities]."

No charges have been filed, and police have not publicly identified any suspects.

Self, whose Jayhawks (18-2) lost at No. 18 West Virginia on Tuesday night, said he wasn't sure how his team will play against Kentucky.

"It's going to be a situation [in which] guys are going to have to use the basketball court as a way to kind of bond together rather than to be talked about off it," he said.

Kansas suspends Carlton Bragg indefinitely for team rules violation

Just days before his team's primetime road matchup against Kentucky in Saturday's SEC/Big 12 Challenge, Kansas forward Carlton Bragg Jr. has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules, the school announced Thursday night.

But the suspension is not tied to the ongoing investigation into an alleged sexual assault that occurred last month at a dorm occupied by both Kansas players and non-athletes.

Self: Kansas distracted by police investigation[/paste:font]
Kansas coach Bill Self told ESPN a police investigation of an alleged sexual attack at a dorm where some of his players live has become a distraction to his team's preparations for Kentucky.

"Carlton is suspended for a violation of team rules," Bill Self said in the school's news release. "This violation is not connected to the alleged incident in McCarthy Hall on December 17th."

Multiple players have been interviewed by police as part of the investigation into the alleged sexual assault. No charges have been filed in the case.

On Thursday, Self told ESPN's Andy Katz that the investigation was a "distraction," but added authorities had not given him any reason to discipline players.

This is the second time Bragg has been suspended in two months. The sophomore was reinstated to the team last month, however, after he was initially suspended following an arrest and charge for battery of a female acquaintance. But the charges were eventually dropped after police reviewed surveillance video.

Bragg is averaging 6.1 points and 4.8 rebounds this season.

WOW! I don't wish this kind of tragedy on any team or player, but I do wish that who ever is responsible for the attack gets eaten by rats! Peeps that abuse women, children, or animals do not deserve to live!

But to the question: I hope Kentuck loses every game they play, unless they play puke! So I'm going with Kansas even though it will leave a bad taste in my mouth!

Carolina blue, of course Kansas has a tougher league in the big 12. My point was that their league is mediocre in terms of athleticism and teams that get up and down from top to
Bottom. Prob wasn't clear on that.

Any one else SHOCKED at this one?

EVERYTHING pointed to Kansas getting blown out yesrterday, game was at Rupp, Kansas suspended Bragg and that took away was little dept they had in that front court. The controversy had to be on their minds and we all know how deadly that Ky back court can be. To make things even worse, their only real remaining big man picks up 2 early fouls and Ky opens up a near or actual double digit lead ( I only watched little segments of this game, assumed Ky would steam roll it and frankly didn't want to see that).

After what has occurred in the last week, Vegas may need to start a go fund me page, bad time to be a bookie...LOL

yeah, after Ky had double digit lead..it was over...why watch?..later how wrong I was!!..good thing espn3 available..bad loss for Ky.."let's get ready to rumble"...hahaha..wonder how much he made$$$$$

I will add, KU is apparently not too worried about true away games like some staff in other conferences...knowhatImean?
