"North Carolina shouldn’t have much trouble scoring points this fall.

Coming off a 2015 campaign in which they led the nation in yards per play, the Tar Heels return eight of their starters on offense. Not only does the team welcome back two All-ACC performers at receiver — Ryan Switzer and Mack Hollins — and one at running back — Elijah Hood — but it will be led by promising junior quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who appears ready to take over the reins behind center.

The skill players are generating the most hype, and understandably so, as the offense averaged 40.7 points per game last season. But while the guys scoring the points are a major part of the equation, the offensive line might be UNC’s best position unit.

Larry Fedora has to be salivating every time he looks down at the depth chart and sees what he has up front. Talent. Experience. Depth. All the boxes can be checked off going into 2016.

Four of last year’s starters are back from a group that paved the way for a run game that finished third nationally in rushing yards per attempt (5.96). Most of those players have been on the first team for at least two years."
