UNC - Cow College postponed to Sunday 1:00pm

Surprised they waited so long as well. Idk what the forecast is but is it possible the roads will be just as bad at game time tomorrow?

Idk feels like an odd decision.

Sun will be out tomorrow despite a projected high of 26 degrees. Suppose to get down to single digits tonight and it's not but about 4-6" of snow in Chapel Hill but Raleigh only got about 2" of snow but we had about a .5" of sleet before the 2" of snow so its' really icy. Especially tonight with as cold as it is. You would prefer people traveling during the day tomorrow rather than at night. Suppose to be 2 degrees tomorrow night.

Probably the right decision but it was too late. I've heard a bunch of UNC fans sold their tickets on Stubhub or somewhere else thinking it was going to be played tonight. No telling who bought them.

Excellent point about the driving in those conditions during the day versus at night....safety for all is the primary concern

Can't help but think if this situation occurred 20 years ago the game is played without even a second thought. I don't mind personally they postponed it but if the visiting team was willing to come play I dont see much reason to cancel it.

As a fan I'm glad because it probably means we will have a better crowd tomorrow but from a general perspective I think it's questionable.

It's not even as much a concern for the teams as I think it is concern for the public attending the game.

In all seriousness, I hate seeing car crashes and unneeded injuries..people in the Carolinas can't drive in this--I'm a born/bred Iowa guy, we'd have walked 15 miles up and down Chapel Hill to watch Theo and the boys beat up on Wolfies--haha

How many can safely drive up and down the hills there at 1030 pm after the game ? No way the small cars can and the limousines can. They will be wreaks all over the place.

The true southerners dont cause problems driving in this stuff - it's the transplants who have "driven in snow" all their life who cause the problems because they apparently dont understand the difference in 8" snow vs .25" of ice on a road surface. Plus, our budget doesnt allow for the necessary amount of road clearing equipment, compared to States that get much more consistent snow.

For example: Raleigh has about 40ish total vehicles to remove snow and New Haven , CT has over 600!

I'm disappointed the game was moved, but I understand the concerns that lead to it. To me this is different than the cowardly excuses used by ratty and his punk brigade! Let's just do it today!

Go Tar Heels!
