By the way, you guys should check out the live stats link if you haven't already. It's been updated with a whole new platform this season and is much, much better than last year.
Gallen gives up a double, gets two outs, but then gives up a single to score a run for Fairfield. Heels still lead 2-1 T8 but Gallen is done for the day. 1 out, runner on 1st.
Williams promptly gives up two singles -- which scores a run -- and then a passed ball scores another. Fairfield takes a 3-2 lead with 2 outs and runners on the corners T8. UNC with the intentional walk to load the bases.
I guess we're not going to do anything the easy way this year. Sheesh.
ETA: Strikeout ends the threat but Heels now trail by a run late.
Adam Pate grounds out to third, but Miller takes off and beats the tag at the plate! We're tied 3-3 B9 with 2 outs. I have to sign off so will miss the rest of the game. Go Heels!

CHAPEL HILL --- No. 6 North Carolina won in its last at-bat for the fourth time in five games as Eli Sutherland's bases-loaded walk scored Tyler Lynn to cap a 4-3 victory over Fairfield in 13 innings Friday night at Boshamer Stadium. Tyler Ramirez had two hits and reached base five times and A.J. Bogucki picked up his first win of the year for the Tar Heels, who have won six games in a row.
Zac Gallen pitched into the eighth but did not factor into the decision after the Stags (3-1) scored three times in the inning to take a 3-2 lead. But Brian Miller tripled with one out in the ninth and came home on an RBI groundout by Adam Pate to force extra innings.
Bogucki, who has been outstanding out of the bullpen in 2016, got Carolina out of a bases loaded jam in the 11th. After issuing an intentional walk, Bogucki struck out Tim Zeng and got Jack Gethings to ground to second to keep it a 3-3 game.
Ryder Ryan also had two hits for Carolina, which extended its winning streak to six games with its second extra-inning victory of the season.
Game two is set for Saturday at 2 p.m. with J.B. Bukauskas getting the ball for the Tar Heels.
^^^ We already said most of that, haha. But pretty amazing to know that's the 4th win in our last at-bat over the last 5 games. This year is off to an exciting start.
