UNC Not On Coleman's List of 10

[What Would Jesus Do?]

Makes sense because we didn't offer him, but I'm a little disappointed - because he looked more like a pure PG than most of the other PGs whose names have come up. You can argue that we don't really need a PG, but I was hoping if we got one it would be a pure PG.

Oh well. Bigs are our, um, biggest need.

Four other ACC made the cut, per 247:

"2017 four-star Matt Coleman of Oak Hill Academy in Virginia has announced a top 10 list including Arizona, Louisville, N.C. State, Seton Hall, Stanford, Syracuse, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Xavier."

I sort of hope he picks UVa or maybe NCSU. I don't know how he'll turn out, but I was impressed by his quickness, so he might do better at TX or LVL.

Didn't get an offer. I've always liked Coleman but Roy has set himself well at PG with Jalek and then White coming in behind JB. I have become sold on Jalek being our next in line PG and not have to worry about playing the 2. Now Roy can concentrate on the 3, 4 & 5 positions.

If Jalek is anywhere near Uncle Ray (which he may well be) in talent then I'm gonna start stocking up on popcorn and theater butter cause there's gonna be a show on when UNC hits the court with him on point. jmho

Why would you want that? We've had situations like this in the past where we didn't offer a guy that wanted to be a Heel and then he proceeded to light us up when we faced him. No thanks. Of those on his list still, I'd be happy to see him go to Stanford - as far from us as possible and with one of Roy's guys coaching him.

Why on earth would you want him to go to moo or UVa for that matter. God is a Tar Heel so I am sure Jesus wouldn't want that.

Why would you want that? We've had situations like this in the past where we didn't offer a guy that wanted to be a Heel and then he proceeded to light us up when we faced him. No thanks. Of those on his list still, I'd be happy to see him go to Stanford - as far from us as possible and with one of Roy's guys coaching him.

I just like to see what happens to the kids we talked about. Easier to do if they are in the conference and play for teams I'm more likely to watch.

Yeah. For a while it looked like Coleman would get an offer any minute. But then that never happened. If it's because we are confident that Jalek (or maybe 7th) will be a really good PG, then I'm fine with that.

From what I can see. Roy knew White was going to commit so he didn't offer Coleman.

Didn't get an offer. I've always liked Coleman but Roy has set himself well at PG with Jalek and then White coming in behind JB. I have become sold on Jalek being our next in line PG and not have to worry about playing the 2. Now Roy can concentrate on the 3, 4 & 5 positions.

I think we fans liked Coleman more than Roy but I would suggest Roy decided to take another look at Coleman because he would maybe help us with PJ. Clearly White jumping like he did put an end to that. Looks like Shaka has Coleman pretty much locked in, what does this do for our chances with PJ... IDK?
