For all the fans that commented that a rusty Carolina team in their opinion did not play like a well oiled 12th rated team in the country remember that Auburn, Texas and UCF all above the Heels in the most recent top 20 standings lost on Saturday and except for maybe Auburn will fall below UNC when the new rankings come out.

I think we'll be #9 with Auburn at #10 tomorrow. Auburn wasn't even really competitive in the little bit of that game that I watched.

Have a chance to move up one or two more spots next week if we can take care of business against Va Tech

really nice win. the key imo was our d-line getting consistent pressure on bc's outstanding qb. a former 5-star, he still had a good game, but without that pressure he would have been dominant. compare yesterday to the last uva game in kenan -- heels got no pressure on their excellent qb and he went wild. if only our o-line could step up their performance, especially on pass protection.

Sam also needs to get the ball out quicker/WR's need to get seperation quicker. Not sure what's going on with Dazz but hoping he breaks out this upcoming Saturday.

I love my Tar Heels, but there is no way in hell that we are a top 10 team. If our play improves and we can cut down on the penalties, we can be a top 25 team at the end of the season.

The pressure mostly came from our blitzing. The D line didn't actually create much on their own. That will be an issue against better teams where we can't blitz as much.

Really need to clean up the penalties. They have a bad habit of committing them at the worst possible moments.

I'm confident they will as the season progresses and they can put a string of games together rather than multiple weeks off between games which provides rust.

Ironic that the two ooc opponents we were supposed to play both lost yesterday.

I think so too. But roughing the passer can’t happen on a drive at the end of the first half. And the PI on third and goal from forever can’t happen either. Those two penalties could have cost us 14 points but ended up costing us 9 points with the failed 2pt conversion at the end.

Those two penalties and the fluke pick were IMO the biggest reasons that game was close. Obviously their QB played a helluva game but we would’ve pulled away in the first half if we didn’t shoot ourselves in the foot a few times.

Looking forward to seeing improvement this week. Don't think Rene played and obviously didn't have Wolfolk so a lot of guys got some good experience on Saturday and I think you'll start seeing them take next steps starting this week.

I believe that Mack said earlier today that he is not giving out any injury info until gameday. He said something to the effect of the other team doesn’t disclose that info, so for game planning purposes, he won’t either. So, I doubt we learn anything tonight.

Meant more-so regarding any season ending injuries. If they're just banged up, I don't blame him for keeping that close to the vest.
