From UNC's 45-34 win at N.C. State:

• Carolina won its school-record 11th straight game with a 45-34 victory over NC State. The Tar Heels improved to 11-1 overall and finished undefeated (8-0) in ACC play for the first time since 1980. The 11 wins equal the school record and it is just the fourth time UNC has won 11 in a season. Carolina also won 11 games in 1997, 1980 and 1972.

• Place-kicker Nick Weiler made one of two field goals and all six extra points. He now has 112 points, which is the third-most by any player in UNC single-season history. Only Don McCauley (126 in 1970) and Giovani Bernard (114 in 2012) scored more. Weiler has made 18 of 21 field goal attempts and all 58 extra points (school record).

• Carolina has already set single-season records with 495 points and 63 touchdowns.

• The 45 points are the second-most points any UNC team has scored against NC State. Carolina posted 52 points against the Wolfpack in 1996.

• Carolina’s first five drives of the game (all touchdowns) consumed just seven minutes and 18 seconds of possession time. The Tar Heels scored on drives of 2:19, 1:22, 0:54, 2:02 and 0:41.

• Elijah Hood recorded his first career 200-yard rushing yard game and his seventh 100-yard game of the season. He rushed for 220 yards on 21 carries and scored two touchdowns. The 220 yards are the most ever by a Tar Heel vs. NC State. The previous record of 216 was set by Amos Lawrence in 1977.

• Hood’s 220-yard rushing total is the 14th-best rushing game in school history. He became the first Tar Heel to rush for 200 yards since Giovani Bernard had 262 vs. Virginia Tech in 2012.

• Hood scored on a pair of short touchdown runs. He now has 16 touchdowns on the season, which ranks fourth in UNC single-season history. He is one shy of Kelvin Bryant, who had 17 in 1981. The school record of 19 was established by Don McCauley in 1970.

• Hood has rushed for 1,280 yards, which is the third-best single-season total in school history. The only players ahead of him in school history are Don McCauley with 1,720 in 1970 and Mike Voight with 1,407 in 1976.

• Hood (220 yards) and Logan (100) each rushed for 100 yards or more. It is the third time this season Carolina has had two tailbacks run for 100 yards (Illinois, Miami). Hood averaged 10.5 yards per carry and Logan averaged 16.7 yards per attempt.

• Hood fumbled on the first possession of the second half. That is the first fumble lost by a UNC running back this season. NC State converted that fumble into a field goal.

• Carolina had 553 total yards of offense. It is the fourth time this season UNC has posted 500 yards or more on offense.

• On Carolina’s first drive of the game, QB Mitch Trubisky came off the bench to throw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Quinshad Davis. Trubisky was forced into action after starting quarterback Marquise Williams’ helmet came off on a second down run and was forced to sit out for one play. This is the second time Trubisky has thrown a TD pass coming off the bench when Williams’ helmet has come off. Last season at Virginia, Trubisky came in and threw a 16-yard scoring strike to T.J. Thorpe in a win at Virginia.

• WR Quinshad Davis tied Wake Forest’s Ricky Proehl for 12th place in ACC history with 25 career touchdown receptions.

• T.J. Logan’s first two carries of the game went for 82 yards and two touchdowns. He had a season-long 42-yard touchdown on his first carry and a 40-yarder on his second. He now has five rushing touchdowns on the season and 12 in his career.

• QB Marquise Williams became Carolina’s all-time total offense leader on UNC’s second drive of the game. Williams finished the game with 227 total yards of offense and now has 9,794 for his career. He moved past Darian Durant, who had 9,630 from 2001-04. For his career, Williams has 2,296 rushing yards (UNC record for a quarterback) and 7,498 passing (fourth-highest total in school history).

• Junior wide receiver Mack Hollins caught a 53-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. He leads the team with eight touchdown receptions. Hollins has 16 touchdown receptions in his career, which ranks fifth in UNC history.

• Hollins’ eight touchdowns equals his total from last year and is the fifth-best single-season mark in UNC history.

• Freshman linebacker Andre Smith made his first career interception and returned it 28 yards in the first quarter to set up 1-yard touchdown run by Elijah Hood.

• Carolina tied the UNC single-game mark for most points in quarter with 35 in the first quarter. That matched the previous record accomplished at Duke (2nd) in 2000 and vs. Old Dominion (2nd) in 2013.

• Williams’ streak of 128 consecutive pass attempts without an interception came to an end in the second quarter.
