UNC vs Northwestern game thread

Time to get back to the winnings ways. Here's to hoping the Heels come out hungry, jump on Northwestern early, and lock this one up quickly.
Good test tonight to see if any adjustments have been made. Northwestern is a high volume and pretty efficient 3 point shooting team. Four of their players have shot more 3's than 2's. They also have a legit 7'0". Good test. Really bad sign if we don't score efficiently tonight. Despite NU's slow tempo, they're pretty dreadful defensively.
Meeks usually gets 6-8 points in the first few minutes then disappears. He isn't scoring early today. See if he keeps his disappearing act up though.
Couple missed defensive assignments. One on a backdoor (Northwestern staple for the last 15 years) and Meeks overcommitting on a ball screen allowing a slip. Good energy though. Really purposeful cuts on offense. Zone offense has been pretty good.
Nice pass from Pinson. Another example of good god Meeks why don't you just dunk it! But, it worked out!
Every time he is in the game we are just spotting the other team points. Never hasn't been this way.
Our depth is really overrated. Until Paige comes back, you don't need to defend anyone on the second unit... Exception is maybe Hicks. Eventually this rotation needs to be shortened.
Oh no he was absolutely right. Just saying that regardless, he has nothing good to say about Carolina EVER so...
18-17 after three straight from downtown by the wildcats. James, Hicks. Williams, Berry and Britt now on the court.
You guys know why we go into periods where we have trouble scoring. Because our brilliant coach takes out 4 starters at one time quite frequently. No other coach in America does that in games where the game is in jeopardy.
Dokitch is a Hoosier and lives to tell everyone about the one time he was able to shut down Jordan in 84, and knocked the Heels out of the NCAA tourney. So he's a doochie by default, and usually negative toward the Heels.
Meeks and Britt are just pathetic defensively. Britt gets beat off the dribble every time and Meeks is just lazy. He does not get back on the pick and roll and does not close out on the shooter at the 3 point line. We'll see what they look like when Paige gets back but to say I'm disappointed in this team would be an understatement.
