Maui MVPs
• Freshman Joseph Forte was the MVP in 1999-2000 after scoring 24 points in his college debut in the opener vs. Southern California, adding 17 in the semis vs. Georgetown and a game-high 21 in the championship vs. Purdue.
• Raymond Felton was MVP in 2004-05 after averaging 9.7 points and 10 assists in the three wins. He injured his wrist in the semifinal, but still had 13 points, nine assists and four steals against Iowa in the championship game.
• Ty Lawson earned MVP honors in 2008-09 after a 22-point, 11-assist double-double in the finals against Notre Dame.
Roy Williams in Maui
• This is the sixth time Roy Williams has brought a team to the Maui Invitational.
• Williams’ teams have a 15-2 record and have won three championships in Maui.
• Williams is one of three coaches to win the Maui Invitational at least three times (Mike Krzyzewski - 5, Williams - 3, Jim Boeheim - 3).
• At Kansas, he led the Jayhawks to the title in 1996-97 with wins over LSU, California and Virginia.
• His UNC teams are 10-1 in Maui, winning the title in 2004-05 and 2008-09.
UNC All-Time in Hawai’i
• The Tar Heels are 33-5 in the state of Hawai’i – 16-2 in Honolulu and 17-3 in Lahaina.
The Wisconsin Series
• The Tar Heels are 2-1 vs. Wisconsin.
• The Badgers won the last meeting two seasons ago. On March 26, 2015, Wisconsin ended UNC’s season in Los Angeles in the NCAA West Regional Sweet 16, 79-72.
• Carolina led by seven with under 11 minutes to play, but the Badgers took the lead with 6:08 to play and went 8 for 8 from the foul line in the final minute to hang on for the win.
• The teams combined for only nine turnovers, which equal the fewest in any Roy Williams-coached game in Carolina history.
• UNC had four turnovers, the fewest ever in a Tar Heel NCAA Tournament loss.
• Carolina made 8 of 13 from three-point range, a percentage of .615 that was the highest ever in a UNC loss in an NCAA Tournamnt loss (surpassed in the loss to Villanova last year).

Hot-Shooting, Defense Fuel Win Over Cowboys
• Carolina had season-high shooting percentages from the floor, three-point range and the free throw line and held Oklahoma State 30 points below its season average in a 107-75 win in the Maui semifinals. • The 32-point victory is Carolina’s largest in the semifinal round of the Maui Invitational. Previous high by UNC in a Maui semifinal was a 29-point win over Oregon in 2008-09.
• UNC made 37 of 64 shots from the floor for the second consecutive game and again shot a season-high 57.8 percent from the floor.
• Carolina shot 56.3 percent from the floor in the first half and 59.4 percent in the second half.
• Carolina has shot better than 50 percent from the floor in five consecutive halves (second half at Hawai’i, both halves vs. Chaminade and Oklahoma State).
• Carolina also shot season-high percentages from three-point range (8 of 17, .471) and the free throw line (25 of 29, .862).
• Carolina made a season-high 25 free throws.
• Carolina scored a season-high 107 points. It’s the most points since UNC scored 108 vs. East Carolina on 12/7/14.

• Jackson made a career-high seven free throws (previous six at Miami and vs. Indiana).
• Sophomore Kenny Williams made a career-high three three-point field goals. Last year, Williams was 1 for 13 on 3FGs. This year, he is 8 for 17 and has two games with multiple three-pointers.
• Senior guard Nate Britt had 12 points on 5 of 10 shooting from the floor. He has scored 33 points (11.0 ppg) on the road trip. He is 16 for 30 from the floor since the first game of the season.
• Freshman Tony Bradley had 13 points on 5 for 5 shooting from the floor. He is shooting a team-high 72.2 percent from the floor.
