I caught up with four-star defensive tackle Kyree Campbell and he said he did attend UNC's junior day on Saturday. He says UNC is "still at the top" of his list with Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Penn State, but no one school leads over the others.
UNC actually dipped on Campbell's list when Keith Gilmore left because the two were very close. But Gene Chizik, John Papuchis and other coaches on the staff have since won him back over and his interest is back as high as its ever been, he told me.
The best news? Campbell plans to attend both a spring practice and UNC's spring game, so that will make three trips to Chapel Hill in a relatively short period of time.
