Utah coach...

On the other hand, if his own players can't advance the ball past half court with only token pressure, well thats not the refs fault is it?

His PG is on the bench with 3 ticky tack fouls.

I would hate to think if the Heels lost their starting PG we would have this hard of a problem advancing the ball past the half court line. Sad indeed! Thats just poor preparation period.

Bingo.

That 3rd foul on Wright was the worst call of the tournament .. and had a HUGE impact. The NCAA and CBS want the dream match up in Indy so badly. Would be a massive cash cow ... they could play up that "dook vs UNLV upset" in 1991 on the same court... huge ratings. See where I'm going??

I agree on the scrum foul. That was BS no doubt. However to think Utah is on the same talent level as dook is absurd. They are outclassed on the bench and on the floor. I also agree that the NCAA would love to see a KY Dook matchup in the final, but I have a hard time believing there is a conspiracy to make that happen.

Ding ding ding!!! We have a winner!

Why do you have a hard time believing the NCAA at least to some degree puts a little influence into some games. Not outright rigging - like, make sure dook wins regardless. But I could see them saying, "if it's close, favor dook... And try to not let it be too close if possible"

What part of what the NCAA has ever done that would give you reason to believe they are a "straight shooter"?

The NCAA is one of if not the biggest damn jokes operating in the world, not just the US, today. Total joke!

The NCAA is more corrupt than congress. No telling how much the head of the NCAA is getting in the form of bribes. If UNC got half the calls Duke gets, they would be in the elite 8. It is obvious the agenda the NCAA is pushing.

It's beyond obvious .. they're tripping over themselves to get dook into the FF and set up the epic Monday night game. It started with the seeding and bracket lay out and continues with the officiating. Think about it .. dook would have beaten San Diego State, Utah, and Gonzaga to get to Indy .... pitiful.

Not sure about how much the NCAA plays into this with refs and calls at this stage, but you can bet your arse cBS is pushing hard for a dook/UK matchup and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they had some "conversations" with refs. And dESPN is right their with them.

Look at what has happened thus far: dESPN airs "I hate Christian Laettner" right before the tourney. cBS puts every dookie they can find on air as much as possible. Commercials with Laettner air. Stories about dook abound. All the while there is UK with the possible undefeated season, which if this were in dooks "bad back" year would be all the talk. This year, not so much. Most of the focus is on dook, so you KNOW it has to be irking the UK fans right now. What better way to set up a circle jerk dream matchup for dook loving PTB's in the NCAA, dESPN and cBS?

I am telling you though, until people simply turn it off, this will continue. Imagine IF the dook/UK matchup were to happen and ratings dropped like a rock. Personally, if that matchup happens I won't even turn my TV on that night. The ONLY way to stop the dook love fest is for people to stop watching them. Until/unless that happens, you can bet we will see more of this crap year in and year out.
