Call me a sore loser, call me whatever you want, but I am still of the opinion that Virginia Tech is severely overrated, and, as a result, Fuente is getting too much love right now. Let me first state that I've been a big fan of Fuente. I liked watching his 2014 and 2015 Memphis teams play. That all being said, I still think his VT team this year is overrated. JF hasn't had time to get his offense into place yet. Instead, their entire offense consists of a very solid dual-threat Juco transfer who can power run and throw deep sideline jump balls to two NFL-caliber receivers in Isiah Ford and Bucky Hodges. Even Bud Foster's defense isn't as good as it usually is.

We got run in our game with them, no doubt about it. But I am not ready to concede that we would've lost under normal conditions. VT lost to Syracuse and Georgia Tech, a team we blew out and who started their backup QB in that game.

I expect Clemson to thrash VT tomorrow. I think that, to me, if they do, that will put some perspective on just how "good" Fuente has them this season. I'm not yet ready to say VT is "back" after this season. I think things just worked in their favor this season.

Thoughts?
