Wharton seems like he could be a very solid possession WR. But only some DL talent, well, anything on D, is going to excite me right now.

He would absolutely be a "take" because WR will be a need in the 2016 class. Quinshad's a senior this year, Thorpe is gone, Tapley is gone, Switzer and Bug will be seniors in 2016, so receiver is certainly a need in '16 Class.

Wharton would essentially act like a WR commit. I like our chances simply based on the fact that he's from Tennessee and other than UNC, he's visiting Utah and Cal. Those two are far, far away from Tennessee and I don't just mean in distance.

On a related note, does anyone have any info on Quinshad's status after that horrific leg injury?

Good point. I haven't heard anything about Quinshad. Some guys never fully recover from bad breaks. On a happier note Wharton ran the 100m in track in HS.

He has the speed that if he gets into a seam, he can take off.

Fedora is close lipped about all injuries. He won't want anything revealed until Spring or after.
