The attack is being investigated, and if it can be proven, the playas should be banned from playing high school sports. Additionally, San Antonio schools superintendent and athletics director have placed the playas assistant coach Mack Breed on paid administrative leave for possibly suggesting the attack...

I have seen the video and imo it clearly shows the incident was intentional and planned. I have only read/heard a few details, and my first thought was that this probably came from the head coach....learning that an assistant coach has been placed on leave is the same thing in my book. (He's just the fall guy)

If evidence reveals any member of the coaching staff was involved, I think their entire season should be forfeited and the program shut down for the year. Show the entire state of Texas that this display of unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.

Those 2 deserve a nice long suspension from school sports, at least the rest of this year, and I'm talking all sports. Both players also deserve assault charges filed against them. Gang mentality in sports should be dealt with severely IMO . .

No, it is plain to all that you are not one bit worried about what anyone thinks of you. But what you can't understand is that because you take this position no one much cares what you think.

Anyways, those kids never should have leveled the ref, as everyone surely knows and agrees. Thanks for starting a thread to point out the obvious.

I just have two things to say...

1. Those kids and whoever directed them to do that should be suspended for the year.

If true, then those kids & coaches should've reported it and let the ref be dealt with accordingly.

However, that feels like a cop-out excuse from a team that felt they were getting bad calls and had two players ejected already for unsportsmanlike conduct. The asst. coach appears to have directed this behaviour.

I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be charged with assault. And if their coaches had anything to do with it they should never see another sideline or classroom.

There's just no place for that in sports.

Don't know, but their actions on the field are gang-like, despicable, and completely worthy of prosecution and a complete ban from high school sports.
