• This is the sixth consecutive UNC-Virginia Tech game in which the Tar Heels are ranked in the AP top 25 (and the 32nd time in the last 35 meetings dating back to 1967). This is the first time the Hokies have ever played the Tar Heels when ranked in the AP poll.
• Roy Williams has led UNC to 209 wins in ACC play (regular season and Tournament). Williams is fourth in ACC history, one behind former Maryland head coach Gary Williams, who won 210. Mike Krzyzewski (478) and Dean Smith (422) are one-two in ACC wins.
• Williams is 82-47 in ACC road games, a winning percentage of .636 that is the second-best in ACC history. Only 10 of the league's 82 coaches in history have won at least half of their road games and just four have a winning percentage of .600 or better – Duke's Vic Bubas, Williams, Duke's Mike Krzyzewski and UNC/South Carolina's Frank McGuire.
• Williams has won more ACC games on the road (82), than every current ACC coach has won at home, except Krzyzewski (238 home wins) and Florida State's Leonard Hamilton (83).
• Carolina is 4-1 in ACC play for the first time since 2017 when the Tar Heels lost their league opener in Atlanta, then reeled off seven wins in a row.
• Carolina shot 55 percent from the floor against Miami, the first time it made 50 percent or better from the floor since the win over Gonzaga on 12/15. The Tar Heels are 206-7 in 16 seasons under Williams when making at least half of their field goal attempts.
• Carolina's basketball staff, including Williams, are wearing sneakers in Monday's game in coordination with the NABC to raise funds and awareness about the fight against cancer, and promote the American Cancer Society as a source of inspiration and hope for those facing cancer. Coaches wear sneakers with their game attire as a visible reminder about the importance of nutrition and physical activity in reducing one's cancer risk.
• In the last two wins, Brandon Robinson set a career high in three-pointers (three vs. Notre Dame) and tied his career high in assists (four at Miami).
• Cameron has scored more points as a Tar Heel (609) than he did in three seasons playing at Pittsburgh (583).

UNC-VIRGINIA TECH SERIES
• Carolina leads 67-14, including 14-4 since Virginia Tech joined the ACC prior to the 2004-05 season.
• Carolina is 31-6 in Chapel Hill, including 6-1 in the Dean E. Smith Center.
• Roy Williams is 14-4 against the Hokies. All 18 games have come while head coach of the Tar Heels.
• Virginia Tech's 80-69 win in Blacksburg last season snapped a seven-game UNC win streak.
• Carolina has won six in a row over Virginia Tech in the Smith Center. The Hokies lone win in the Smith Center was an 81-80 decision in overtime on 2/13/2007.

MISCELLANEOUS
• Carolina is 5-1 on the road this year, including 3-0 in ACC play. The five road wins are more than any other ACC team has won this season. Virginia has four, Louisville and Syracuse have three, three schools have two, four schools have one and four schools have yet to win a road game this season.
• Freshman point guard Coby White has won UNC's defensive player of the game award in each of the last two wins over Notre Dame and Miami. White is the only Tar Heel to win multiple defensive awards in ACC play this season. He is second on the team (Garrison Brooks leads with five) for the season.
• Carolina is second in the nation in rebounds per game, fifth in scoring, sixth in rebound margin and seventh in assists.
• Carolina is averaging 87.3 points, which is on pace for the fourth-highest figure in Roy Williams' 16 seasons as head coach and the highest since 2008-09.

• KenPom ranks the Tar Heels third in the nation behind Savannah State and FIU in shortest average length of offensive possessions (13.9 seconds) and fifth in tempo (possessions per game).
