Virginia vs Carolina game thread on: Saturday 25 February 2023

Need a good offensive set here off the timeout. Dump to Bacot and immediately kick to open shooter.

Coach Davis wisely calls a timeout to set up the last shot of the half. And Pete Nance who everyone has picked on all season hits his fourth triple of the half on a desperation off balance shot and it is 42-26. Carolina hit 9 or 10 from downtown in the first half….

I see Nance has been working on that shot Hubert talked about in pre-game press conference.. even Hubert said Nance' shot was too flat. This could be huge for us if he fixes that.

Hubert doing his best imitation of Roy Williams not calling the time out on a 7-0 run until baycot hits a layup

Did anyone else notice that on RJ's and one not a single Tar heel player congratulated him on the floor?

How many fouls is that on Clark??? I mean, how many has he been called for now? 3?

Beekman a layup the RJ puts up a running prayer and it is answered and he is fouled at the first tv break 49-38. Virginia looks sharper this half offensively

If we were almost any other school, we wouldn't be anywhere near the bubble based off our record. But it's Carolina, and doing barely the bare minimum for nearly 90% of the season then getting a few good wins at the end seems to be enough for Lunardi and possibly the Selection Committee. (Gotta drive those viewer numbers up after all)

I expect a back-against-the-wall win as we continue limping into the NCAA Tournament.
*sigh*
