Amen!Yeah. I don't blame Dabo. The media and their online degree mentality is just sad.
I would have liked to see him be even tougher. The Press typically sucks, for various reasons. How can you not love Dabo??

Did he really? I guess I didn't turn it up loud enough to hear that part haha. As a journalism major, I find these coaching rants FAR more awkward/squirm-inducing than I find them funny/entertaining. People forget that there's a person on the other side of the camera at whom the tirade is being directed. Now sometimes they deserve it for sure, but sometimes it can be an honest mistake.I like the response from Dabo there as well. Probably would have gotten a little tougher in his response if the reporter that asked it didn't completely crap his pants and stutter an apology halfway through the rant.

I had a certain UNC coach give me "is that a SERIOUS question?" response once when I was working for the DTH and I about crapped my pants as well. That was like 4 years ago and I still get red-faced to this day when I think about it.
That it was Hale, an old SEC guy, means to Dabo that it was done intentionally - by Hale and SECSPN.The reporter who asked was David Hale of ESPN. I honestly don't think he intended any malice in it, but I agree with Dabo it was insulting to even bring it up.
And yes to whoever said it's hard not to like Dabo. Coaches who stand up for their players, coaches, and program like that inspire a lot of respect and loyalty. Good for him.

Hale covers the ACC for ESPN. He actually does an excellent job and posts a ton of positive stuff about UNC footballESPN that explains it.
The reporter himself said it was unfair to say it for chrissakes. Get over yourself dabo. U guys need to live near clemson for 15 years like i did. You'll have no prob despising any and all things associated with it.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of ESPN in general, but he is one of a very few of their employees who consistently churns out quality content (Andrea Adelson being another). That's why I was a little surprised he was the guilty party. Again, I don't think he was trying to provoke Dabo, and he tried to explain himself on Twitter, but it was a stupid question to ask.Hale covers the ACC for ESPN. The TIMING is why it was a stupid question. If they had just lost to GT, then it's a (harsh) but valid question. It's not even a relevant question after a win.Agreed. WRONG. Lived in the Upstate my entire life. Clemson people are great and I wish we had half the support. Only thing they despise about UNC is the historical arrogance and I really can't blame them. Every other school feels the same way. And Dabo is great for them.
I wish the football atmosphere in Chapel Hill could come even close to saturdays down here. I'll take clempsun fans over the cock lovers everyday of the week. I didn't have a problem wearing my Carolina hat to the GT game saturday but had a 50 year old man try to fight me in columbia for the same thing a few years ago. I dont really find anything about clempsun to be despicable besides maybe Dabo's obsession with throwing his religion in everyone's face.
Your comment is a display of their perceived arrogance from Heels. Maybe our fan base could use a little Copenhagen or Skoal if it helps bring 80K every Saturday.
I live in Orange Land proper. I've never really had any issues with the fans at all. I proudly display Tar Heel gear on my Jeep, house and person. I have even met several die-hard UNC fans around here. The town itself has nothing in a cultural sense except Clemson Football!
I wouldn't trade UNC's location, legacy, traditions, or anything with this school!
I don't listen to the sports shows,no. And, yes, at the games where we play them (especially in Littlejohn) I will see little signs saying "Go Home Sissy Blue", but that's to be expected at games.Lol u must not listen to the local call in sports show. If its still on the air. Nothing but hate for all things unc. More than for scar! The host used to call us "baby blue".
