From what I just saw... they play straight street ball. Elbows to the chests/face. Hand checking over and over.
We have to hope Arkansas doesn't injure some of our players.

I think we'll need to see a ton of Berry, and obviously be stronger with the ball than we are usually.
Anderson played for and was a long time assistant under Nolan Richardson, whose teams tended to be goons in sneakers. Arkansas will push and shove and hard hand check all game, until the team is in deep foul trouble. If Roy does not work the Refs, the Refs will 'let 'em play,' and that could destroy us. We aren't very tough.
This is 1 game I want to see Joel James play. He can knock Hawgs all over the court, keeping them halfway clean. Portis and Qualls need to be knocked hard every time any of our players get knocked hard, every time the Refs fail to call a rather obvious foul.
Joel James has 5 fouls. I hope they are all used, all legit non-flagrant fouls, but hard fouls none-the-less.
The refs will call more fouls on UNC because our lateral quickness on defense is sorely lacking. And because Hicks is about the only big man we have that takes the ball aggressively to the rim. Brice is either going to shoOT a jumper or jump hook. Meeks will get a layup blocked before he will go strong and dunk it. And poor Joel James, if by some miracle he does happen to catch the ball when thrown to him, his only effective play is a 12 foot fade away off the baseline. The way we play, I would be shocked if we didn't have more fouls tomorrow
You have to remember teams that guards attack the basket are going to get more calls, we dont do that nor defend that well, so blaming the refs for what you already know is going to happen is probably a waist of your time..

Meeks and James need to get deep in the paint on every possession and stick their big behinds hard into Portis. If they can wear him down with 280 pounds of contact all game it'll free up a lot of space for Brice, Isaiah and even Justin with his sneaky back-door cuts.
