Well well well... it seems we are NOT the only team that cannot guard the three and cannot MAKE threes when we need them

Watched Maryland last night Vs Mich .... a Mich team without one of their stars and clearly a solid but not great team
Now mind you Turgeon is NOTED as a defensive coach who prides his team on D...

Md shoots 6/24 from 3 and Trimble scores three points . They GIVE UP 12/29 from three point land or 41% for Michigan

Point is they gave up open three after open three and lost the game ,shooting poorly themselves.

Read the comments on the ESPN board from Terp fans about Turgeon and his team.....

Cant coach, his teams don't guard the 3 . HMMM.......Where have I heard THAT before???

Bottom line , it happens to teams just like us all the time

Yeah, but homer Adrian Branch said prior to the game last night that Maryland was his unbiased #1 team in the Country?

Mary--land does have a very good team, but I just don't believe that the turtles have the goods to win it all this season....May prove me wrong, but last night's loss to a so-so Meeshigan team without one of their better players doesn't help their case....

Of course, I probably will never give Mary--land any credit for anything anymore as the turtles are much like South Carolina in that their out of sight, and out of mind as far as I'm concerned since they left the ACC, and are just a bunch of traitors and liars who chose the "Rust-Belt" conference over their rightful home in the ACC because they couldn't manage their financies...

Maryland and South Carolina are two very similar programs who I hope lose every game in every sport from here to eternity, and both can got straight to_ _ _ _!

You fill in the blank!

I agree Mike. The 3pt line most definitely needs to be moved back to the NBA distance.

3 point line will not move back. Heck they may even bring it in a bit. Like most other sports basketball is tilting the field hard toward offense in search of higher scoring games.

I won't be surprised when soccer decides to make their goals 2-3 feet wider in the name of "a more exciting game". Won't care either, but won't be surprised.

Which shows the 3 point line should be the same as the NBA. Right now it's to easy for even an average shooter.
Yet Terps went 6-24. That's 25%. Heels went 3-16 in our last game. 18.8%. Too easy? If it's too easy I'd kill for a few more "average" shooters.

I see this exaggeration a lot. "Shooting threes is like shooting free throws for today's players." Yet, you don't see anybody shooting 3PT at 70-80%

An interesting change for soccer would be to simply take away the keeper's use of his hands. Maybe shrink the goal a little to partially compensate but basically just make him like any other player. You can do what you want to defend your goal but within the same rules as any other player on the field. Crazy, or just crazy enough to work?

It would sure be funny to watch!

How did we get on soccer? I do think the 3 pointer will move to NBA distance.
