No doubt it's not a coincidence that it was after a championship. There are plenty of media people who are upset about it or just want ratings, so they are bringing it up to try to take away from us winning. I don't really care what they say though, so it doesn't bother me that much.
UNC lawyers should go after this guy. Clearly stating opinions in a public forum without full knowledge of the facts. He could/should be sued for defamation of character or something along that line. Any lawyers on the board (or lawyer wanna be) have thoughts?
I'm not a fan of what he said, but he's allowed to say whatever he wants to say when it comes to what he thinks the punishment should be based on what he knows. There is no question about that or at least I hope there isn't.

UNC would be wasting its money in such a lawsuit. Libel, slander, and defamation of character is virtually impossible to prove if the afflicted is a "person of interest" aka a celebrity or well known figure or institution.
Two things: 1. Of course he has a right to free speech. But just because you CAN say something doesn't automatically mean it is smart or helpful to do so.
I guess we could technically try to sue, but a judge would throw out the case before it got to trial.
Jeez man, get over my wording. My point is our chances of winning are zero.
