His McCallie team is 27-7 on season and takes on Darius Garland ( future Dookie ) and Brentwood Academy 28-2 ( home of Brandon Wright )

Can you imagine winning state title and beating a future
Dookie and driving home and watching the Tar Heels whip the Donkey ( a nod to my man Shun )

Darrius Garland had 30 and ten assists.

2 time Mr Basketball in Tennessee as a sophomore and jr. MVP of state championships. Only Lebrun and Joel Berry have won three in history.

He is going to be a thorn in my side for years to come.

Very proud of my son and his teammates.

This year they beat three top twenty nationally ranked teams and went down at home by 7 to La Lumiere.

Great fun watching them.

Our core is back and we will get em next year !

Garland has not committed but if you look at his list of schools he is Dook bound.

He does not seem like a Dook kid.

Gary Indiana originally. Been in Nashville during high school.

Seems like a great kid the three times I've interacted with him.

He is an excellent point guard.

His list is Dook , UVA , Baylor , and local favorite Vandy.

Which mccallie player is your son?

I am one of the coaches of Wings Academy from the Bronx. We played the mccallie school in the semifinals of the Arby's tournament during the holidays.

We are in the AA (largest schools) New York City final four tomorrow night. We have 4 losses on the year and the mccallie school was our worst defeat.

I don't post much, I am more of a lurker. But you mentioning the mccallie school caught my interest.
