I would put it at about 93% chance. What could be more Carolina football than a hurricane for the opening game against a beatable SEC opponent?

Looking at the track today, you might just get your wish '71-00.

While I have not quite decided how that would affect the game, I think most Gamecock fans believe high winds and heavy rain would cause both teams to turn more to their running games, which would be good for USC. It would tend to take the one area where UNC has a known quantity (and quality) and reduce the number of pass attempts throughout the game.

Unfortunately, bad weather would indeed favor the C@cks. I think their gameplay will be to run, run, run. I want a fast track because our offense is going to have to carry us IMO.

Looks like the forecasted cone has taken a slight turn to the west from this time yesterday.

I was hoping that Erika would just graze the SC coast and push out into the Atlantic. It does look like this is going to be a heavy rainmaker for the southeast states at the moment.

I hope it doesn't "graze" the South Carolina coast like Billy said because yours truly will BE at the S.C. coast on vacation and then driving over on Thursday for the game.

Off-topic but Erica/Erika is a sexy name in my opinion.

Grazing the SC coast was what it looked like was going to happen yesterday, when you saw the guiding upper atmosphere winds on the NOAA's maps I would have bet money on that being the end result.

Some areas could really use some rain and Erika may just provide it.

playing true four down linemen, eight with added depth, will be a world a difference vs their running game...they're also switching schemes and have inexperience, so it's a wash.

i worry more about special teams when this kind weather is in play.

Especially the way Switzer tries to catch every punt.
