Not sure how this thread will go over but let's give it a try......

We experienced so many emotions in that second half. What was your reaction when that final shot when in?

For me, I just sat there in stunned silence. Hoping.....praying.....he didn't get the shot off in time even though I knew he did.

Well, as I told the cop, "it was a basketball game that shocked m..." Last thing I heard was something about resisting arrest and a big flash light? Who knew the ONLY Ky fan in the state of SC would be a cop called on me for a disturbance? LOL

My son said "you got to be kidding". I used a long stream of profanity.

Caveat, I had no dog in the fight (but needed a UNC win to win a decent sized pool.) As a fan of college basketball, I went nuts when Paige hit the three and went nuts again when Jenkins hit his. I thought both were incredible.

You guys had a great year. It's really hard to win titles, you need everything to break right even if you're the best team. The sun came up today and you guys will be right back in the hunt next year.

My son and I sat there in shock as his 4 buddies quietly thanked us for dinner and walked out of the house! They knew that was the only thing that they could do...and the 2 that were for Villanova...knew better than to say anything other than that!!! hahahaha

I watched it with my wife and three kids. I've actually got to a point where I can watch it with others. If they are quiet and don't move around, and they cheer for the Heels.

After the game they tried to console me, but truth told, this loss was "easier" to take than some others. I thought Nova was about as good of a team, though they have no stars.... they play really well together. Almost every kid on their team knows his role and does what he needs to. Their defense is tough and you can't deny what they did shooting the ball.

Just think if we had shot the 3 like we have most of the year, or -gasp- like we did vs. Cuse? Would've been a blowout.

So I just put it in perspective and waited to hear our guys address the media with total class - which they did - they always do - regardless of how undeserving the post game media is of this respect. Their immature ABC ridiculing smarmy smug collective attitude especially on ESPN from a few guys - makes me sick .

it balances out , if 'nova had shot the way they shot during the year .481/.359 then..........

My brother and I watched it (by phone, talking as we watched). My brother's TV feed was a millisecond ahead of me the whole game. So, he saw every basket RIGHT BEFORE I did, every game. I hated that. Every other game, I had been ahead by a hair. I'm also juggling 3 text conversations as well.

Anyway, after Marcus's tying crazy shot, my brother said "They've been hitting everything and there's almost 5 seconds left." I said "they won't hit this time." I was convinced we had OT coming. And... BOOM! I just said "there it goes! Sh*t!"

It was a loss that still felt like a win. Neither team was better, they just ran out of time.

Shot went through, I instantly knew it was over. Usually I have a beer or two after a hard Tar Heel loss and I am over it in less than 30 minutes. But this one.... I had a restless night and morning. Kept my wife up all night, she understands the Tar Heel love. The only thing that took my mind off of it so far is the class work I am doing.

I hope those young men are taking it as well as it can be.

I about broke my daughters remote, then when I saw Marcus crying, I started crying too. Such a heart breaker after that come back. Restless night no sleep here, and don't feel any better about it today. Yes, guess you could say I am a sore loser.

I just stood there stunned for a couple of seconds, yelled something out and changed the channel. Did not want to see the team hurting and nova celebrating. Didn't sleep good at all and just feel awful for the team especially Marcus and Brice. They had an incredible year even with everything stacked against them. Hated to see it end that way.

After the shock,I started to really feel bad for the team, but mainly Bryce and Marcus.I really wanted those boys going out on top after what they went through these past 4 years...I'll really miss Marcus,he's such a great kid.Hope they have a great career in the NBA and maybe get a title there

Did it go in slow motion for anyone else from when Archiasdopuaweocano turned to make the pass? I hate to say it, but at about the apex of the shot, I knew it was going in. Wife let out a load "NOOOO!!" and then quiet.

I'm hoping for a successful career for Marcus as well. When that is done though, I want him back on the Carolina bench ASAP!!

I'm kind of pessimistic by nature... In the second half I just thought this was Villanova's night and their tournament. They were awesome the entire tournament.

The angriest I got was the Hicks phantom foul with like 30 seconds left. Looked like Hart traveled and was blocked clean. Thought that was huge and my hope nearly died at that moment... Again, just thought it was another example of it being Nova's night.

Once Paige hit the tying 3, I had instant jubilation. But then almost immediately realized 4.7 is an eternity.

Once Jenkins rose up, I kind of knew. Was strangely calm.

Weird, but I was angriest when Hicks got called for that foul. I was hoping Hart would miss one because something told me if he missed one Paige would hit a 3 to win it.

Today was rough. Working in sports media on a day like this really sucks... But it could be worse.

What a freaking game though. We were part of the best title game ever. We just needed 4.7 fewer seconds.

When Paige hit his shot I let out a yell like none I have in years. I quickly realized there was 4.7 seconds left and told my wife that was too long. We had not been able to stop them from hitting all night. As soon as arch tossed the ball I sighed "wide open" and watched helplessly as the inevitable happened. Stunned silence and shaking the head saying what a shot.......they were both great.

Cut the TV and lights off right after I saw the replay (even though I already knew it was good) ..laid down face first in my living room floor and yelled into a pillow for what seemed like an hour ...went to bed around 12 woke up at 5 and no less than 5-6 dreams about the game ...this is sticking w me for a long time

I was traveling to Maine for business. Flight delayed 5 hours which put me landing at 9:20 in Boston. Watched the game on my phone while getting off the plane, riding to rental car, and driving to Portland. I pulled over with 13 seconds left and yelled at the top of my lungs when Marcus saved us. Then I drove away figuring I didn't want to see it that clearly if Nova made a shot to win. I still saw too much.

There were two key plays where I knew it just might not be our night. The first was when we were up 7 with a few secs to go in the 1st half and there's a steal and JJ is driving for what I thought would be a sure easy layup. Instead, he underestimates Hart's athleticism and instead of protecting the ball with his right hand and finishing with his left, he just flails into Hart to try to get a foul. That was a pivotal play. The second was the wide open chip shot that Meeks missed that then resulted in him getting a "foul" himself as he dove for a loose ball. That was another pivotal play where they came down and scored after that turnover. After that play, the momentum of the game shifted and we lost a lot of confidence after they scored and eventually took the lead.
