I haven't seen them play, so would welcome impressions.

Pomeroy ranks Wisconsin #8. We're #3. He has us winning a close one.

As you go down the list of components, these are very similar teams on many measures. Experience, height, rebounding, and many more. The big exception is tempo.

Pomeroy ranks Wisc #348 on tempo. Meaning there are only 3 teams slower than they are. [As you might guess, Virginia is one of them.] We've been playing 9 more possessions per game than Wisc, while they have been taking 6 seconds longer per possession.

We showed we can take care of business against one of the nation's fastest teams. Less than a day later, we have to do it against one of the nation's slowest teams.

Conventional wisdom suggests it's easier to slow a fast team down than speed up a slow team, so this will be a serious test.

I don't like it that they got more rest, but that's the breaks.

Third game in 3 days tells a lot about players. It's my general impression that stars stand out in such contests.

Wisky is well coached, patient, and skilled. They have multiple shooters, including some of their bigs, but they are not particularly quick or big. I think Meeks and Hicks will have to work hard to guard their bigs, especially when they step outside. I don't think their guards can be particularly effective on O or D against ours. We must do a much better job on defensive boards because Wisky rebounds well. Might we see some scramble or 3-2 zone action this game? JJ might have a big game because he looks like the most difficult cover for them to me.

I see a double digit win after a close fought 3/4th of a game.
