Water. Seriously. If I'm drinking on a weeknight, I always make sure to drink a large cup of water before I go to bed. Otherwise I wake up groggy with cottonmouth.

For me, Jameson replaced the vodka, tequila-soda shots you had with your roommates in college. It kind of signaled adulthood, so as a nightcap, I guess it's always been less about the alcohol (though I am a big fan of the 12) than it has been about the ritual.
I usually pick up a bottle of Black Bush for sipping around Christmas time.

in VA, a few years back and usually pick up a bottle or two when I go up in Oct.
If I go out, I may have a beer or two. Gave up hard liquor years ago.
