Saunders Hall was renamed recently at the insistence of students... State flag designed by a former Confederate soldier has too much resemblance to the Confederate States of America Flag, a clear racist symbol of the South... The term "Tar Heel" used by NC Confederate soldiers and other Confederate units to describe the ferocious gallantry that was exhibited by NC soldiers during a race war aimed at keeping blacks enslaved... Such racist symbols should be eradicated from the annals of the state... These are truly heady days for liberal kooks around the nation and particularly NC. Should also be great for sports recruiting...
