In addition to the UNC-Tulane game, that is. Duh!

The basketball feeding frenzy kicks off for me at 7 with the Arizona-MSU game.

I'll get to put Vue's Cloud DVR to the test on the first day. We play at 9. At the same time is the Indiana-Kansas game which ought to be great.

My picks (until I learn better) are UNC, Arizona and Kansas in those 3 games, but you never know.

What will you be watching?

The best ACC game (based on Pomeroy preseason ratings, since that's all I have for lower-ranked teams, even though we know they aren't that great early in the season) is likely to be #23 Clemson vs #58 Georgia.

Yes, Pomeroy has Clemson that high (and 6th in the conference).

Other possibly exciting ACC games include:
#51 Pitt vs #87 Eastern Michigan
#36 NC State vs #140 Georgia Southern

The rest of the games involving ACC teams look like cake walks.

Virginia Tech and Boston College play the puffiest creampuffs. Can't really blame BC for wanting to be sure they beat somebody this year. They probably start 2-0 this season and conceivably might make it to 4-0 before the sky falls.

Another sidenote I found interesting: only UNC and UVa start the season on the road.

Here's a link to the ESPN Scoreboard for 11/11. Use the dropdown gadget to zero in on conferences.

Thanks for posting this! I did not realize all the great games Going on that day.
I love college basketball and do not limit myself to Carolina games at all. I can easily watch college b ball all day long.
To the games....Kansas early in the year should beat IU because of guard play.
Am I the only person who thinks Michigan State is VASTLY OVERRATED! I look for Arizona to win by double figures. State lost EVERYBODY! Great freshman class, but learning curves.

College Bball is best thing going on TV! I intend to DVR all three games so I will not miss one minute of either of them. I obviously watch every UNC game, but I also love the other games and I have to scout potential competition!

I need to start clearing DVR space now because I feel this season will be full of really good games and I expect UNC to go far!

Not to mention that Izzo seemingly doesn't care to win any games before January. Love Zona in that game also. IU/Kansas should be fun.

Almost here!

On paper, MSU does seem to be in a rebuilding year, but it does not pay to underestimate Izzo. He seems to be able to get the most out of his players and I expect him to get them operating at a high level by his conference season. Watch him make the tourney and then be a hard out! I'm rooting for MSU, IU and UNC in those games!

This is a point that some people don't credit as much as they should. Some get upset when we talk about other teams, but the game is simply more fun if we know a lot about our foes as well as about our own team.

Plus, some of us have friends and family who attended and/or root for other teams. It helps to turn them away from the dark side if we can speak knowledgeably about their teams. And (if I'm honest) I tend to root for their teams if they aren't playing UNC.

They lost a lot, but let's not forget that they bring in the #3 recruiting class - including a guy we wanted (Bridges).

Might not be ready early, but should be tough later on.

We also get to see Markkanen in that game. He's a player I really wanted at UNC.

I suspect both of those guys were looking for immediate playing time.

I always follow MSU because I love Izzo and I think it funny that Roy seems to have his number. I follow other top teams to scout competition and because I want Kentuck and Kandysas to lose every game. I follow all ACC teams because I want to support our conference in general, excepting puke and NVSU who need to lose every game. I even watch some outside the power 5 because they are likely 1st round opponents for UNC.

I wanted Markkanen as much as any recruit in last 4-5 year's. He is a 10-15 year NBA player.
