A van down by the river
I'm taking tomorrow off from work and will probably paddle around the lake most of the morning. No big plans for the weekend, although filets are on sale at The Harris Teeter so I plan on doing some grilling. Will also be doping my dogs with Benadryl on Saturday night so they don't freak out when all the fireworks start.

Going to the Virgin Islands with wife and daughters. Got all sorts of plans once we get there.

Drinking.

We have tomorrow off from work, and I'll be using tomorrow to sleep in (LOL, yeah right), go to the gym, maybe do some shopping since I desperately need new clothes, and look at apartments because I'm moving in August.

Saturday, heading up to the lake for some boating, tubing, drinking, and relaxing with some friends and family. They're camping on an island Saturday night, but I don't really do the whole camping thing, so I'll come home Saturday evening and probably have some friends over for some beer pong and just general American fun. May pick up some Taco Mac takeout wings...

House chores most likely, I also have a garage that needs straightening up . . maybe hit a movie at the theater.
Scarfing down some oysters Friday night at the FishMarket in Old Town, gonna grill some ribs on Saturday, and then some chicken kabobs on Sunday and of course I'll be kissing Crown Royal throughout the weekend.
Hopefully will watch the US Women kick Japan's twokiss Sunday evening and win the Championship.

That's a good way to end up without any friends.

THN: "Hey, I'm moving in August and could really use some help."

Friend: "Didn't I help you move LAST August?"

THN: "I'll buy you beer and pizza."

Friend: "Didn't I help you move the August before that, too?"

THN: "...."

also the wife has this grand idea of replacing our countertops and getting a convection oven...if anyone has completed these tasks recently, please advise.

Eff doing it yourself, call someone else and pay the extra little money, sit back and drink a beer. Watch a youtube video on replacing countertops so you can act like you know what's going on. (ya know bs a little)

Did that yesterday evening- took me about an hour and a half, but I had to go to Home Depot twice. So unless you are a complete slacker, should be able to knock it out in 2 hours max.

Tomorrow I'm not doing much of anything. Saturday I'm golfing (if it doesn't rain) and I'm not sure yet about that night. Sunday we have a pretty big get together for the fourth at my aunt and uncle's house. We do it every year and it is a good time. Plenty of great food and my aunts have around 800 or so water balloons for the kids to go to war with. There are people riding four wheelers, shooting various firearms, crap like that. Then we shoot fireworks, which I care little about but the kids like them. There will probably be around 40 family members there. It is pretty fun.
 
Golf - Friday.
Tesla/Styx/Def Lep Concert Friday night.
Nags Head Saturday.
Golf Sunday.
Golf Monday.

Go to the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke (BVI) if you get the chance and have not done that before. Definitely a good time.
 
Hoping to grill out a couple of times and play golf a couple of times. Now if the weather will just cooperate!
 
Friday night we went to Valdese, NC to hear Too Much Sylvia and see fireworks.
Saturday heading to a friends house on Lake Hickory for beer, a cookout and fireworks
Sunday we'll celebrate my son-in-law's birthday.
 
So, I can't believe I just did this but I watched the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest. Similar to a train wreck or a portrait of Kramer, I couldn't look away. Don't think I'll be wanting any hot dogs anytime soon ... Ugh.

And unbelievably, Joey Chestnut didn't win this time.
 
Large sirloin on the grill right now and cold adult beverages! This will work!
 
Just blew offba ton of fireworks for the kiddies. Cooked a Texas rib and Boston butt on the smokers for family. Fished all day yesterday with my brother. Hitting church tomorrow then recliner bound till work Monday morning g

Check. I always feel a little guilty seeing them zonked out, but it beats them freaking out about every explosion.

Check. Bad weather meant I had to postpone until today, but I just got done paddling for a couple hours before a huge storm hit:
