His game isn't like Brice's game. But whose is it like?

I suggested in another game that with strength work over the summer and some more bulk he could look more like Hansbrough. I can see him powering up with guys hanging on him.

But if you don't see that, what do you see?

I hope his production will approach that of Brice's this year. I feel he's capable if he can play 30 MPG. But that's a mighty big if. I take solace in the fact that Brice was also very foul prone for 2 1/2 years, then it dawned on him that he can't help the team by sitting on the bench in constant foul trouble.

Isaiah's very draft stock hinges on his ability to play major minutes and be consistently productive during his senior campaign. He can be a potential lottery pick if he can do so. If not, he probably slips into the second round. He certainly possesses the requisite talent to start in the NBA.

Big Game James

If he can develop a 15-ft jump shot the Heels make the Elite 8, at minimum.

Right now he reminds me of Marvin Williams as a freshman at Carolina not a three point only shooter like he is at Charlotte. Hicks has good size and if David West can work with him like he did last summer and somehow develop a consistent jump shot from 10-15 out he might turn into a player like Mike O'Koren...not a James Worthy.

...but he foes have inside POWER and quickness much like Big Game James. He will become Isaiah Hicks One...

His game is actually similar to Brice's minus the consistency in mid range. They both work extremely well at running the court and attacking the rim. When they played together, you just knew someone was getting dunked on. My hope is that Isaiah takes a huge leap towards his potential by next season and will just play with swagger.

Hicks is unique, but I could see him developing an Antawn like game. They both have the extremely aggressive, slightly awkward quick power game. If he can stay on the court, quicken his release, and develop a mid range game, he could resemble Antawn. In any case, Hicks' game is effective and fun to watch now!

I would be tickled if next season Hicks reminds me of Issiah Hicks minus the foul frequency. If he will do that then I am happy!

Didn't say he would be as good as Worthy, the question was who will he remind you of. For me it's Worthy, we shall see I guess. O'Koren is probably one of my all time favorite Heels, but his game & Hicks' game are at opposite ends if the spectrum. Nothing personal but that was not a good comparison. He may not be as good as Big Game, but his game much more resembles his than O'Korens.

Dave Popson
Popson had the potential to be great . he just liked to party too much according to a friend of mine. He was a McD all american and holds all the basketball records at Bishop O'Reilly in Kingston , PA.

I've always thought he somewhat resembled Antwan to a degree, I think being Isaiah Hicks without being in foul trouble could be special!

Actually his offensive game has a lotta Psycho in it --- can face up or post and finishes thru contact --- his FT shooting improvement bodes well, too. Let's hope his board work improves and his defensive footwork evolves enough to allow him to stay on the floor for Psycho-type minutes.

Bingo! Like most, I love his game.... just wanna see 30 or so minutes of it per night.

Kinda sounds like Hicks, eh?

Reminds me of Bill Chamberlain. Only thing is Chamberlain played when the dunk was illegal.

I don't think his offensive game will change much from what we saw last season, and I think that's basically a good thing. I don't want him shooting a bunch of 15 foot jump shots, because he's already proven he can be really efficient attacking the rim. As long as he learns to stay out of foul trouble, he's going to be in good shape and his numbers will increase as a result of minutes alone.

In terms of a comparison, his offensive style reminds me a little of JMM, but a little better at finishing. Anyone who thinks he's suddenly going to be James Worthy or Tyler Hansbrough is off their rocker, but he can still be really good.

Again, not saying he's going to be Worthy or Hansbrough, the question is who will he remind us of. I say Worthy, that's my take, I'm sticking to it, & I'm not off my rocker. I also agree with the post that said if he can just be Isaiah Hicks for 30 min instead of 10, we will be fine, that was spot on. Thinking Deon might be a good comparison too, looking forward to finding out next season.
